I used Honey Nut Cheerios instead of graham crackers for a crust on a cheesecake.

Tasted pretty meh. Use graham crackers instead.

Today marks the first time I've seen a horror movie that I actually enjoyed.

Rotten fish-flavored phlegm. The butter is to help it slide down your throat more easily, in spite of the spasms. I live in the world capital of lutefisk... Minnesota (thought it was Norway, didn't ya?).

Even Adrew Zimmern had trouble with this one.

There are no words to describe what you have just invented, only an angel chorus and a light from above.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

New life experiences... hmmm... *thinks hard*
Oh latest thing, food related at least: I substituted out shrimp for sardines in fish enchiladas.
So it's like imitation crab flakes (aka white fish), sardines instead of shrimp, mushroom soup (no water added), cheese (I use jalapeno pepper jack and mild cheddar), green enchilada sauce, various vegetables (I just use black olives), wrap it all in flower tortilla. Top with more green sauce and cheese, 350 for 20 minutes or so. Serve with lettuce, tomato, whatever extra topping vegetables.

End result, little more favorful, much more different than using shrimp, worked for me.

I don't like seafood and haven't eaten it for as long as i can remember. Went to a Japanese restaurant tonight thinking it would be easy to find something that didn't have seafood in it, and discovered even things that don't sound like they do come with seaweed involved somehow. So everything tastes like seafood even if there is no fish or crab, or eel.

I managed, but my mouth still feels like a wharf. As new experiences go, i could have done without it.

Also find it a little sad we are all talking about food. Surely one of us has to have done something new that wasn't food related.

Restaurant? I'd say look up a Japanese steakhouse. Beef and beer is big in Japan.

Nope, can't think of anything new for this year. New costs money, while the economy is too screwed up for spending money. Only additions to the usual things. Like a cruise would be nice, to Alaska or someplace, never did that before, but I settle for finding a new highway to run my cruiser (motorcycle) thru. Food is affordable.

I actually wanted the Japanese cuisine, but i see now i was ignorant as to what exactly that was.

And i don't mean to say it was all bad. The food was still good enough that i ate everything even though it had a hint of the ocean. And the Chinese waitress was absolutely gorgeous.
