a. the basic skills that i need to learn 1st

b. the skills needed to succeed in mining and making stuff to sell

i have made sure my training queue has been full and have just popped skills in it which i think are the base skills i should be learning.

many thanks for any guidance.

I'm not into the science & industry part of the game, but here are some guides from evelopedia that may be useful to you.

Mining guide

Manufacturing

If the mining guide is too basic, the advanced one seems to have more specific information. Hope this helps some o7

All the skill you need can be found by opening the market's menu and browsing skills in the industrial category.

They arn't that much of them, so just read the description and choose what you want.

For a trial account there miore than enough skill there to train for untill you decide to upgrade or not.

EveMon can be really handy in working out a skill plan to learn.

Basic skills: All dependant on what you want to do. I'd suggest you look at the certificate recommendations for the ships you want to fly and use those as recommendations for skills to learn. They're not perfect, but they're worth looking at.

b. Different Skill paths, really.
Industry for T1 manufacturing:
Industry, the higher the better.
Production Efficiency. The higher the better. Many items will not be cost effective to manufacture until you reach 5 in this.
Mass Production. Gives you additional slots to make stuff in.

There are other skill that will help, but those three are the core.

Mining:
You want to skill for a Mining barge or Exhumer. Skip the Procurer, and go for at least a Retriever. Use Evemon to get the path for the skills.
You probably want to skill up your refinery skills too. And your standings are important, as they reduce the refinery tax.
