I lost a Drake in the Sansha side of WC back 3 odd years ago. Tried to kill the spies, couldn't break their tanks so I put my hobgoblins on them. It was all over very quickly. Also nearly lost a Raven a short time later in Damsel. Didn't have the skills for it and had it horribly fitted. Did manage to warp in structure on that one, however. Docked the thing up and let it sit for 2 years while I trained.

Nightmare with... too much on it (~3.5B total) to L4 mission 'attack of the drones'. Wasn't paying enough attention. Very sad face.

Yep unfortunately I'm not a mission runner but I thought I would try one and I got "attack of the drones" grabbed my pimped tengu thinking the last time I did a level 4 it was dead easy but 10mins later I realised it wasnt that happy.

God Said "Come Forth and receive eternal life!" I came fifth and won a toaster!

Amen to that. I think to date I have lost 3 tengus, 4-5 HACs, 10+ megathrons/dominix and countless BCs/cruisers/frigates to kid related AFKs.

I have learned, and now only fly overtanked, fully passive stuff like Nighthawks. It's still close sometimes if my drones go popping stuff randomly and trigger more waves!

Last ship I lost was mammoth to a gankers in the wh I live in. Most valuable ship I lost in missions was tengu. Ofcourse I was loosing drakes in missions before.

I dont remember what missions was when I lost tengu but it was like this:

I was doing l4 mission. I have to use shield booster from time to time but this time I was just repaird shield with booster. I was looking at the rate shield was depleted, I thought I have enough time to go to grab an apple. But my mother started to talk with me which lasted couple a minutes. When I come back I was already on structure, try to warp out but it was too late. I manage to clean that room in drake and salvage my tengu wreck. Most missiles and some modules survive's explosion. But I learnd my lesson. Never leave tengu or any ship with very expensive fit unattended.

I've lost a couple Occators and many iteron 5's to multiboxing and forgetting that I was running a hauler alt somewhere.

I just lost a Paladin in a lvl 4 mission i did a hundred of times before. i didn`t pay much attention to two small funny frigates who jammed me Sad but the worst thing is... i know myself, it will not be the last time i loose a ship due to a lack of attention i pay to missions Big smile

My one and only PvE loss (other than the 2 frigs your supposed to lose in the tuitorials) was to that mission. My catalyst got scrammed and webbed and went down fast. Managed to successfully kite the webbing rats in catalyst #2 and finished it lol.

Lost a Navy Domi in a most ingenious way.


It was cap unstable but would hold out to the incoming damage for at least 10 minutes. Wife called me away from the keyboard for a five minute little something.

Which turned out to be not five... but more like 30.

It was an interesting experience - I had no problem keeping a smiling face and enjoying a quiet moment with my wife while you know... my Navy Domi got blown to bits.

Lost a couple of newbie ships when I first started. I learned my lesson though. Now I always save the game before any difficult missions. Shocked

When I was a highsec carebear dweller (hate to admit that one), I lost a faction/officer fitted CNR.

I got a level 5 mission in highsec before CCP nerfed that one. I warped into first room.

Took aggro, & was popped in less than 30 secs. Dumb me put on wrong shield hardners. (I did have a logi too).

About 2.5 bil popped, did I cry, hell yea, did I rage quit, hell no, did I give my stuff away, NOT.

Learn a lesson, laugh about it, did not make a stupid mistake like that again.

End of story

Lost a Succubus not too long ago doing the second part of The Anomaly. Forgot about acid clouds doing progressively more damage, the second wave saw my pod warping out with a very befuddled look on my face.

Tried armor tanking in my Harbinger with no armor skills so to speak (Look at my face, it's caldari. And I mostly fly Minmatar ships, but wanted to see those cool lazor beams I kept hearing about). Lvl 3 Drone mission, got popped pretty quickly.

Lost a Maelstrom when I wanted to try it with a DG Large shield booster.

- early when I started: two drakes in 10min in a mission with a bugged warpin inside some structure.

- the usual raven when I didnt have the skills and thought battleships were invincible.

- later on a few hacs while I being drunk.

the drakes were the worst. back then 30mil was a lot of isk.

- Falcon ratting lowsec drunk. Not sure what I was thinking.
