i want to do lvl 4 with them, but what one do i use. both sides look fun, i have some armor skills and mostly shield skills.

If you're only going to get one, or if you need to decide which to train up first, I'd go for a Machariel without blinking. Nightmare is a grand ship and I love mine, but a Machariel damn nearly makes missions fun -- even if you've flown them a thousand times already.

And for the record, I read the subject line as Sansha vs. [some mangled form of Gist, which would imply Angels]. If you're looking for a pirate cruiser to do L4s, Gila is in fact the best -- if not only -- option.

The Nightmare is an insane ship against EM weak rats if you have the skills to pull it off

The sccubus and Phantasm are kinda meh compared to the other faction options.

The Rattlesnake is a drone boat with a monster passive shield tank, if you like droneboats this is your ship

The Gila is also an insanely good droneboat that can field a better passive tank than a drake, with good drone skills you can do L4s in a Gila easy.

The Worm is a frigate size droneboat, like the ishkur it can field a full flight of light drones, unlike the ishkur it uses missiles and a shield tank.

I've flown a Gila in lvl 4's before, it works pretty well, but the dps is somewhat less than a domi (due to lacking the 5/6 large guns). Also, it'll be very tight on cpu, so beta reactor controls are a must if you want to passive tank.

I have 3 Gilas fit out just like that across the universe. I swap out the resistances for mission specific resistances of course. This fit is very easy on the CPU, too, so even if you don't have great fitting skills, you can still fit everything. However you will need great navigation skills, because unless you have perfect cap skills and perfect AB skills you will not be cap stable.

A full set of Domination Hardeners will run you about 20-30mil depending on the market, so this ship won't break the bank.

I've been running Amarr missions a lot lately, and it handles itself. Obviously this ship is weakest against EM/Therm enemies, but that just means I have to pay attention while flying those missions.

Vs Serpentes or Guristas I do this:

Aggro everything
Launch Hobs
Kill the frigates
Recall Hobs-Launch Ogres
Orbit an Ogre
Go afk and make a pizza

Of course if there are triggers, check to see if the triggers will shoot your drones before making that pizza.

I have tanked the entire room of every Level 4 mission with the above Gila. Sometimes it requires flying smart, othertimes you can go make a pizza.
