I always thought CONCORD faction police [probably DED] used to be like other faction police, i.e shootable and escapable.

Did something change in the mechanics? Also we should be allowed to take sovereignity from CONCORD ^-^

If you go in to an empire system and have bad standings with the faction which owns the space, the faction's navy will spawn and attack you. In the Sanctum constellation, CONCORD happen to be the owning faction, and so if you have a bad security status, CONCORD will spawn and attack you exactly as though you incurred a GCC anywhere else in high-sec.

Given you are pretty close to -10, I'm almost certain that this is the reason you were attacked. What system did you lose the blackbird in? If it is one of the CONCORD ones shown here, then that's your explanation.

This happens outside of concord sov too. I've had it happen to me, simply gaining GCC out of the blue.

Destination SkillQueue:- It's like assuming the Lions will ignore you in the Savannah, if you're small, fat and look helpless.

Nah, I don't travel through empire much and tbh it didn't bother me much. I just remember wondering what had happened and looking at my logs. So kinda shrugged my shoulders and carried on.

On a similar note...

I flew a Hoarder from Heild to Rens to pick up some supplies. Being -2.6 status, I was flagged as an outlaw the entire way, but I managed to dock at the Treasury in Rens and buy what I needed.

I then undocked and warped to an insta-undock about 300km from the station and started to align for warp to the exit gate. Before I could get to warp, though, Concord showed up, scrammed and destroyed my ship.

Now I've made this trip once before but without the insta-undock jump.

What exactly is the criteria for getting attacked by Concord for being low security status in a high sec system? What kind of timing is there? Would I have been better off just warping straight from the station to the gate?

I realize I should probably just use an alt for this kind of thing, but at the same time I'd like to familiarize myself with the mechanics a bit more.

It does indeed sound like you were victimized by CONCORD when you passed through their faction space. This is an odd quirk of the game mechanics that, as is said, will be somewhat obsolete once Crimewatch changes go out with Retribution.

If you weren't traveling through CONCORD space when you lost your ship, I would suggest a petition.

Security Status -9.7

nope.

You don't get GCC just for having low sec status. I'm guessing here that he was killed by the faction police & doesn't know the difference between them & Concord.

Thank you everyone for your feedback. I tried locating the lossmail which for some reason is not listed in my mails so im not able to link it. However i do know these things for a fact:
Incident occured in Kemark solar system
I DID NOT have any drugs or illegal items on board (i promise lol)
I was simply moving a ship and DID NOT violence anyones boat.
Note to self: add all concord owned systems to avoidance list.
on a side note id like to thank ccp for reinbursing my raven the first time this happened. (I ended up losing it by enemy hotdrop lolol fun times!)

Ok just noticed kemerk is concord owned so that explains it :P

Also how is the new bounty system going to fix/redo this mechanic?

If only there was multiple threads explaining this...

I think you're right. Isn't there like a threshold if your sec status drops below a certain point, you can't really go through hisec safely. Isn't like below -2.0 or -5.0 or something like that?

Yes, -2.0 locks you out of 1.0 space, -2.5 out of 0.9 , -3.0 out of 0.8 , -3.5 out of 0.7 , -4.0 out of 0.7 , -4.5 out of 0.6 , and -5.0 out of 0.5 (all highsec). Of course getting in and past the navy is a breeze, so travel shouldn't be a worry. Just don't hang around for too long.
