Station Sniper Ganking Question

I am having some problems instapopping **** within 40km or so with a tornado (T1 meta 4 1400s)

I do this for fun when i am bored and i usually wait for the people to come out at 0m of the station and 40km of them approximately...

I ve killed some industrials and some frigates but i am wondering if its better to use a 720mm II hurricane for killiing destroyers and frigates at 40km...

i know its kinda stupid cause if i have T2 artys i could use Quake L which would give me better tracking but i dont know i was thinking about it today...

I use this fit:

Should i go to 1200s, stay in 1400s or go for 720mm T2...

What do you think?

PD:System ussualy has 20-30 people so you have to do this cautiously...

I am also thinking to snip from over 100km... i dont know if i am going to have way better results...

I tried a similar thing about 2 weeks ago.

The biggest prob was getting lock before they warped off so I ended up putting remote sebos and optimal range mods on my alt to help with lock speeds. I just use a griffin for the alt with only the required mid slots fitted. Gate guns can sometimes kill my alt before he can warp off.

Lock time seems to be 2-3 seconds with remote sebos helping and if the 1st shot doesn't kill I GTFO real fast. (Had a few attempts where this happened)

You only have 5x targeting mods, you need more. Don't worry about stacking penalties.

3 Sebo 2 TC. Full stack of gyros, everything should be at 0 transversal anyhow.

Use 3 Giros T2 Guns and T2 Short range ammo.

Don't ask about Italics, just tilt your head.

I thought this was best served with an insti sniper loki coupled with archon alt?

I thinks thats too much for me right now, if you mean 720mm loki, thats one of my questions...

would i get better results with 720mm hurricane (same volley i think)

The problem its not the targetting, its the killing...

a 720mm hurri has a 0.39 tracking with short range ammo but i dont think it could kill a destroyer from 40km...

a 1400mm T1 tornado has 0.21 but i dont kill them either and i have problems to kill frigates too...


I think i am going to wait for t2 artys because its not giving me the results i want, long time ago ive killed lots of **** ships but now..., maybe i will wait to be optimal...

you should try to position on way that they have 0 transversal when they undock, so you have to be on line where they undock, behind station or front of the station undock.
