Why do people pvp in high security? I use to because it would mean you could do it SOLO 1 vs 1 without interruptions, UNTIL the aggression on repair modules or etc modules.

So, we need a button on every character's page, when in the same system as them, that has to be clicked by BOTH people so that they can pvp each other. When done so, their ships turn RED to other players or something so that people know they're "busy".

When Both have accepted a 1-vs-1, they are NOT able to be LOCKED onto by anyone else, smartbombs have NO EFFECT when used on them BY OTHER ships (let the pvper's smartbomb each other to hell if they want but keep it a 1-vs-1). This also means corp and alliance members cant intervene.

Because the PVP'ers are not being able to be locked onto by OTHER PEOPLE in eve, UNTIL ONE OF THEIR SHIPS POPS, they should not be able to leave the system they're in OR DOCK until one of their ships has popped. If they have an emergency and need to quit the pvp, they can just eject ship, self destruct it, or what have you and let the other person finish their ship off for the loot they may desire. This part is important because if you have two alts that accept pvp on each other and they arent able to be locked onto by other people, they could use their two alts to go into null or low security and be invulnerable, using this as an exploit for unknown reasons (spying or whatever more serious).

So, when someone has accepted a pvp with another character, they cant dock to change ships, leave the system, or be aggressed by anyone else UNTIL they eject their ship.

Now say someone has started a nice 1 vs 1 pvp and leaves in emergency, by ejecting their ship or self-destructing it and leaving. The other person thats still hitting their empty ship should still not be able to be damged by other pilots because this person could have low armor and a grefing corp mate of the one whom ejected could finish him off.

This is another reason they should not be allowed to dock, be targeted, damaged by smartbombs, or leave system until one of their ships has been destroyed. (If you ejected your ship, you are now able to be targeted again and can leave system)

Also, people currently involved in a war should NOT be allowed to use this pvp feature because of them not able to be damaged by anyone else than the person they accepted pvp with. If a war target comes in system, all lthey would have to do to avoid the war target is accept pvp with an alt of theres and become invulnerable.

OPTIONAL: People who have a security status that causes them to be pirate status in the system they're currently in should not be allowed to use this; common sense. They can be attacked by anyone anyway. (It may make some people stop being pirates just so they can fairly pvp :-)

• OPTIONAL: You could also have it where people have to be docked to do this and when they both accept a pvp against each other, spawn them in their own wormohole system, like a boxing ring, that has no stargates or stations :) but, meanwhile, other people see them sitting in station still.

So, please, ccp, Give us a SAFE effective way to 1 vs 1 in high security, without any other character interfering BUT at the same time, avoiding possible exploits Ive outlined above.



Throw some more suggestions people. I have made it fool proof as long as ccp implements this EXACTLY As outline above but im sure you have some ideas to add to it.

We could even have things like FAIR FLEET vs FLEET pvp, where the same stipulations above apply but with more people on each side.

Either way, no one Can refute this idea because if they dont like it, they dont have to use it if it hopefully gets implemented. Just dont click the new PVP button on the other person's page

UPDATE: For the nimrods who dont get the idea for being incompetent, I said BOTH PEOPLE that want to pvp each other HAVE to BOTH Click the button on each other's page, NOT one person hit the button on the other persons and the other person be forced to pvp.

You can still throw out a jet can and lie to people all you want to, saying "1-vs-1", and have your whole alliance or w/e jump in, allthewhile thinking you accomplished something by killing 1 person with 100 people and allthewhile thinking it makes up for your pathetic life.

Whatever floats your boat, just stop trying to sink mine.



right and im sure a lot ofpeople agree with you but let those who want to use this system WHICH DOESNT FORCE ANYONE TO, let them use it.

I dont like faction warfare. I dont use faction warfare system but im not sitting here refuting changes to it or saying to take it out of eve because IM NOT FORCED TO USE IT.

IF you dont like the idea, just dont say anything about it and dont use it. You arent forced to hit the reply button in this forum and you wont be forced into a pvp with another person.

I really wish people would read the idea entirely. You act like i said only ONE person has to click the pvp button and the other one is forced into pvp with him

You dont get it though. If you dont want to use it, you arent force to. It then has nothing to do with you. Geez, are you going to get pissed cause one of your corp mates does a 1-vs-1 pvp with someone else or a war target is busy in a pvp?

What the hell is STO? you dont lose a ship? Thats the point, some pvp so you can GAIN isk or modules or w/e from it. What do you gain on Singularity? NOTHING

Let people do their thing and Ill let you do yours? You're refuting something that you're not interested in and doesnt trespass on you. Its like you saying cause you dont use PI, you didnt want it implemented in the first place or Cause you dont use faction warfare, you dont want it JUST to keep others who do from using it EVEN THOUGH It doesnt invade on your playing.

Im not sitting here making posts saying "take out the war dec system" even though that DOES trespass on someone else's playing. I dont war dec others and dont grief but I know others want to use it and I want to let "bygons be bygons".

See, I will sit here sometimes and think of ideas OTHER PEOPLE would want, whether or not I do, and try to get them implemented AS LONG AS IM NOT FORCED TO USE IT.

So if you dont have to use it, whats your problem?

Also... this smacks of "instancing" and on principle "instancing" should not be tolerated in an (more or less) "open world" environment.
