Buckingham - Testing Retribution - information and feedback

My question is about the 2 mill SP points you owe me for participating in the mass test. I am aware they are applied to the test server. Any idea when that will happen?

1. Did not notice any bugs
2. Time Dilation was annoying during fleet fight at planet
3. Had some issues with fittings that I worked out before on Duality. Did the PG or CPU change for Caracal and Drake?
4. Really enjoyed myself!

Don’t know if anyone is still reading this thread but I’ll post this anyway just in case;

Tried out the latest client this morning and found a number of small niggles that may need some love.

Excellent work on the new UI, the compact windows are superb now and the small ‘space left bar’ on containers was just what I wished for, however what happened to the menu tick box for open all windows like this?
It just means I have to click the compact view button on every window I open but no big deal, as I said a niggle that’s all.

So went scanning, there is no audio ‘launch’ noise when you launch a probe.
When you adjust the scanning probes location sometimes the ‘warp too’ sound cuts out after a second but at other times it plays until the probe reaches the target location.

The ‘cloak ship’ sound is absent now, I can’t remember if it plays on TQ but I miss the warble sound as a ship cloaks, again a niggle not game-breaking.

The new camera tracking positions are nice but the ‘Track Selected Target’ toggle seems changed on this client, it used to track my target as soon as I hit the toggle button then leave off when I hit it again. Now the toggle seems ‘odd’ it seems I have to toggle then select a target, hmm.
Also could we have some sort of indicator to show which mode we are in as it’s now very confusing with 4 different ways of using the camera.

About the tracking camera -
We're changing the camera toggle, from being a "mode" type thing to being a press to activate type, i.e. you press and hold "B" and select the target to track.

It cant work the other way also got a target and then hit "B" it swings to toward the target. With a 2 second hold down of the short cut it locks on to it and stays focused on it.

Is there a Test Server up where I can continue working on ship fittings for after the Dec 4th of Retribution? If not, when might that be and which server? As I know you guys and gals are using Singularity exclusively for Dust-514 stuff.

It will most likely be Buckingham, at least until late January, but we'll announce any changes. Singularity is being used as the beta production backend server for DUST 514 until DUST is connected to Tranquility.

This would seem to be saying Dust is to be connected to TQ in late January.

Is it possible we can get the "Vindicator" seeded please, it seems rather unfair to not seed it as there is already Bhaalgorns and other op ships, I personally wish to do some testing with it using the new Large Micro Jump Drive module and some range testing combined.

If it can be seeded it would be great.

Wing commander in fleet STILL DOES NOT RECEIVE FLEET COMMANDER BONUSES.

Fix this FFS...
Why is it such problem??

Supposed workaround with beeing in squad and have wing booster role asigned is both crappy and non functional

This is broken for a really long time now, and I really hate not having fleet commaner bonuses, when flying wing commander position

Fix it allready..

What happenend to the scanner probe sphere in the solar system map? It looks pixelized and no longer smooth...

New target switching AI not applicable to 0.0 plexes?

Tested in a 7/10 with a tengu plus stealth bomber for extra dps.
SB was targeted as soon as it started shooting. First by NPC frigs - ok target signature size is relevant I recall. So second time I killed all frigs before bringing in the SB but then he was targeted by cruisers. Final time I killed all NPC apart from BSs then warped in and the SB was still targeted.

I thought this new AI was not going to be applied to low/nul plexus? Or did I get that wrong.

If it goes in as now on Buckingham then all ships need to be able to tank each room

The AI discussion is another thread, but the only part that isn't applied to the low/null plex has to do with some towers.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

The new Tempest Model is great. I don't know what it is about it. Its kindof like a bulldog, ugly as sin, but somehow really appealing at the same time... make me want to get back into my Large Projectile training.

Gurista and serpentis ships of all categories aren't seeded. They never are, and I fail to understand the reason why. It is kind of irksome; if any faction ships are seeded it should honestly be all or none IMO.

right off the bat i find a couple of bugs...

1. if i set my video output to secondary screen on the primary videocard if flips back to primary screen at every sessionchange, really annoying...

2. i shut off the music as usual and it stayed off until i rebooted the client and then music is on until i hit the sound tab in settings, all of a sudden one click away from turning it off again it decides to remember things...

i guess ill find more ....

I can confirm this after the update today, logging in I had the ‘ambience’ music playing at full volume even though it was set at zero when I logged off yesterday.
The slider was still at zero when I checked again, however moving it up and back turned the music off again.

Another minor niggle but fixable.

I must admit i was a bit drunk when i read the test server forum here............

overall i dont post much but i was able to use the test server last week, and have to say congrats on making the game a lot better as far as the special effects, like the missle launch sequence and the the explosions.

As the real Planet X approaches Earth, and begins to break down earths magnetic core, and atmosphere as well as volcanic and sismic activity (as i write this yellowstone national park has elevated there threat level to code yellow, for the super underground volcano) hopefully we will all make it through these troubling times.

overall hopefully eve will survive, i would store my servers in underground vaults if it was my company.

Ohh, i mentioned this in the game one thing that would be nice to see in an expansion would be ship deteriation, based on how many missle or gun strikes are hit to a ship, as in real life, if you get hit with 1 or 2 missles you should see your ship 1/2 torn appart with increased limiting functionality, ie you no longer can warp out your warp cores are shot to hell

Been playing around and testing the new t1 logi, they are amazing, it will definately change the landscape once it hits TQ. They are around 66-75% as effective as their t2 counterpart for a fraction of the cost.
