Hi

Some helpful advice:

If you are in a fleet with friends, you should instead fit more resists or buffer on your tackle frig isntead of a local repair module.

Repair modules work well when you're trying to dogfight (1v1) or if you're in low sec and are trying to tank gate guns. However on a tackle frigate, both of these situations are rare and your powergrid/cpu can be better put to a bigger buffer to outlast.

The best metaphor I can give is that pvp is like having two buckets of water, your job is to shoot holes in the other bucket. Whoever runs out of water first, loses.

edit:[Local] Reps don't put water back in that bucket fast enough and you run out of resources (capacitor) too fast with things like your guns, your microwarpdrive, warp disruptor and any other cap using modules are capable of. So, finding ways to mitigate the damage makes fitting a ship easier and you'll last longer.

edit2: you seem to have a chill attitude and its nice to see people jumping into the game. Reminds me of when I started.

Can flipping miners in high sec. Congratulations sir, you have experienced the thrill of elite PvP. You may now quit EVE, as you have obviously won the game.

Thank you for sharing. Very nostalgic, reminds me of my first PVP. Well done. I even felt the adrenaline watching the video!

A few pointers/comments:

- You can make another tab on the overview to allow you to switch between settings more quickly.

- When one ship is about to blow, get your ass over to the next if you're the frig in the gang, the rest of the gang will finish him off and you'll spend less time flying between nearly dead targets.

- As you rightly guessed, filters don't work for D-Scan, only types.

Yes, I noticed that. Took forever to get to the fight, and I was like wtf.. Covetor, Covetor, Retriever... This isn't a fight, it's a gank.

Obviously war targets, nobody can flips these days; I'm not even sure you still can can flip. I assume you were waiting for a scout on gates; that was tedious to watch, FF'd through it.

With all respect, this is one cool guy. At least he's out, trying something. Didn't come here whining. I've been following his video blog. Being a n00b too, I find it quite cool.

If you don't PvP, you get flamed.
If you do PvP, you get flamed.

Conclusions: nvm flames, just do your stuff Smile

P.S. There are people still trying to flip several days old newbs. Good that we have a lot of public channels where people can ask for an advice...

Don't listen to idiot trolls. They don't all speak for the bittervets.

That was a well planned and organised bit of killing and a nice intro to the world of PVP and small gang operations.

Keep up the good work!
