Training for WH/Incursions

Hi, I've been a way for a couple years so I _feel_ like a new citizen, hence my posting this here (Also because its kind of newbie advice).

I've got a decent hunk of SP in PVP, I can T2 fit a BS, and fly HACs and Recons. Problem is, Im fully specced for Gallente, which seems to be unpopular at the moment. My question is, in order to get into WH/Incursions, do I need to train something else? What little I've seen seems to indicate a lot of WH groups like to shield tank (which would suck from and investment perspective for me). So should I be training up for a Caldari Strat Cruiser (name escapes me), would training for minnie be an alternative? (Can cut out the shields). I already need to train the scanning skills, But I do have all those learning skill points to redistribute.

Any advice?

Shield is the way to go for incursions, armor fleets do exist but you find it MUCH easier to get into a fleet with shield tanked blaster-thron

for WHs a T3 is prob gonna be the best bet as BSes can be snuck up upon rather easily and there you gonna see shield are also preferred but that isnt to say there arent fleet out there with guardians

It's just any budding new corp that is getting into WHs is probably running around with drake blobs and will have no sympathy for your armor or when your the only one caught by pirates cause your a slow fat BS

The T3s are:
Caldari - Tengu
Gallente - Proteus
Amarr - Legion
Minmatar - Loki

after living ina WH for about 1.5 years, i can tell you the utility ship Tengu is the way to go in Farming w/ a fleet. I too am Gallente trained and found my role restricted to the Proteus. Maxing out scanning skills, fititng it for PvP , i soon became the point man in most every action.

WH life isnt just about ratting. You make it what you want. Mine, Gas Harvest, production, Missions, PvP... it's all there.

Ok, thanks guys. More or less what I was afraid of... get to use all my recycled learning SP on caldari skills instead of carrier stuffs :(

Appreciate the responses though.
