Yeah, that makes for a cool story, except for the part where CCP's ignored "Goon issues" for the last year to work on Faction Warfare, Bounty Hunting, Wardecs, and Crimewatch - all features that are more or less irrelevant to the average Goon (except for perhaps those in Miniluv, who even still are the amongst those least upset about the changes to ganking because they're smart enough to work around it instead of declaring that the sky is falling and that highsec is becoming candyland.)

The truth of the matter is, if CCP were actually a Goon pet, we'd probably see enough changes to Industry, 0.0 sov, POS's, and the economy - that articles like "Is interest in EVE Online Declining" may not even had to be written in the first place.

EVE's got some spinal surgery it needs to undergo to keep moving forward, evolving, and attracting new players (not to mention continuing to capture the imagine of its core in an age of constant competition) - and its pretty clear to savvy EVE players that know what they're talking about whether or not they are a member of the CFC or not. The sooner players get over the idea that the alliance you belong to has something to do with whether your advice is sound and start working together to help CCP understand why there is a growing air of apathy amongst the base, the better.
