Hello

I have this fixation to strange fits and i was flying my battleship and got ganked by some random frigates. This made me hella mad, so i schemed a plan to revenge.

Now before i make my self total fool to these frigate pilots, i thought i would ask advice with an alt from the forums, to see if my plan was golden. I don't mind loseing ships, but i would like to get validation from others before i continue.

THE PLAN:

Plan of action:

SHIP: Rokh
Fitting:

Lows: 5 x Warp core Stabilizers -> for gtfo and luls!
Meds: 3 x Sensor Booster II, 3 x Target painter II -> For faster trageting & better hitting.
Highs: 8 x 200mm AutoCannon II (Frigate size weapons) -> For utter destruction of these fools
Rigs: 3 x Large Projectile Ambit Extension II -> 14km fall of for weapons.
Light drones

Action: When they attack and i have locked them -> local chat: "SUPRISE MOTHER"#¤"¤S!".

Now the only purpose of this ship is to kill 3 frigates that would be attacking me, there is no tank and i would fight aligned to somewhere, with Stabs i might get out alive. If i die horrible it does not matter, atleast i tried.

Now the questions to you people is, is there any better battleship or fit to do this and get the luls of my life time? Do not consider costs, just effectiveness of the fit, i have enough money to take any basic BS.

Ah good point, maybe i fit tank after all then. Maybe 4 heavy neuts and rest weapons. This way i can just warp away in any case. Would this work, or would you change something? Also wanna do this by my self and no friends, more lul factor.

EDIT: Maybe i should also put stasis webifiers and 2 x point

Don't listen to that douche, you're halfway there. A smartbombing rokh with 1 sensor booster, some tank, webs, cap booster whatever else, no warp stabs, sit 150 off the gate with your se-boo running, they'll think you're tryin' to snipe, burn out and orbit you up close, wait a sec for their orbit to stabilize and hit em with all 8 smartbombs. THAT is surprise motherf#%*#ers. ;) good luck

OP... your plan is half baked (at best)... that said, you have balls and I will give you points for that.

My lol-solution would be to arm your ship with medium blasters and one large railgun (bear with me on this)... fit an armor tank (1600 plate, 2 EANMs, Damage Control)... and then fit a MWD (MicroWarpdrive) and warp scramblers and webs in the mids.

Come in at range... lock up the guys... and start firing your 1 large railgun ONLY... when they start burning towards you, fumble and look newbish. Once they are sub 10km from you, apply a warp scrambler and 2 webs per target. Unleash hell with the blasters.

-Even if you scripted every one of those sensor boosters for scan res, it would take you 27 seconds to lock the frigates.

-If all three of them had warp scramblers, they would still tackle you, which is very likely, as each scram is 2 pts of warp disruption.

-You are paying out the ass for a battleship hull and t2 large rigs which will do less than half the damage of a thrasher. Pyfa estimates your ship at 300 mil.

-Your drones are going to do virtually nothing since they will be shot down seconds after launching

-You don't have a scram, so they'll just warp off if they have to.

-Even if you did have a scram, they could simply move out of range and warp out because you're slow

-If you happen to run into any group that isn't those exact same three frigate pilots in those exact same three ships, they will kill you.

-It's highly probable that even the original group of three frigates that you faced would kill you.


To summarize:

-Even if your ship is capable of beating them, they'll just leave.
-You'll probably die before you even find them again.
-If they are in t1 frigates and are good pilots, they stand a very good chance of killing you.
-If they are in faction or t2 frigates, they will just murder you.



Creating a bait ship that can kill multiple opponents is really goddamn hard. The only two realistic options I can think of are an AML caracal or a small weapon buffer tanked Maller with multiple webs and a scram, or maybe a Drake. However, AML caracals are far more common than any other kind, Mallers are useless aside from being bait, and a Drake will only be engaged by a couple frigates if they think you're incompetent... So, you could go this route, but you'd be banking on them thinking you are incompetent or, in the case of the Caracal, fit with HMLs.

It's really hard to pin down and kill frigate hulls. If they know they can kill you they can pin you down easily, if they aren't sure they can often just leave if you start winning, and if they don't think they can win you will never catch them.

They will eat the first smartbomb barrage, realize you're fit exclusively with smartbombs (if they don't know already from not seeing the turrets on your ship) and just orbit you at 9km and kill you.
