I feel some vague sympathy for Avon, since Goonswarm has kicked him around the galaxy for four+ years without respite. But it's a shame that he's taking his misplaced rage on behalf of BoB and trying to spite the CSM as an institution, merely because he and his lot were torn apart by a gaggle of newbies in rifters.

You could always come after us again, Avon. It's worked out so well for you and yours in the past. Fifth time's a charm?

But do leave the CSM out of it.

(using vile rat's post about the appropriate place for such threads...) I've posted a thread in the Assembly Hall. When will we be getting a formal CSM response to these events.

Yes the Assembly Hall. Birth place of the 250 agreed over 4 excrutiating years which were flogged through the CSM process and subsequently ignored.

The place where one CSM member vetoed player issues in favour of "musical instruments in captains quarters" as an issue to take to Iceland with him to be discussed.

Lets continue to flog the dead horse for another few years, im sure it will take off and bolt into the sunset

I don't own a supercap, so that's strike 2.

you're still mad about the nerf because your alliance can't do anything without them.

Bloody hell.

We live in the end-times of Monoclegeddon when the 4 NeX riders of the (aurum-skinned) apocalypse have murdered the good devs in the Icelandic night of the long knives while his ginger majesty Hilmar has offered up the virgin daughters of the content department to the many-tentacled elder gods of microtransaction hell to the flickering pyres of Vampire the Masquerade source books and you are still going on about player alliance rivalries from 4 years ago!

the CSM taking credit for the changes that are coming doesn't mean they made it happen, it's just convenient for them to take credit, just as Obama will make a re-election campaign out of taking down Osama and Gadaffi.

Goon's should be evicted from the CSM, period. If that's my opinion, I am free to it. If I post with an alt of a 5 year veteran account, i'm free to do it.

Any boob can read the forums and see where people are making great ideas and suggestions....under the ideas and suggestions threads. If CCP cannot keep a pulse on the players take on the players and their satisfaction levels, it's because they are neglecting to use the tools that they have on-hand, outside the CSM. The ideas and suggestions forums is a start and polls and surveys are another way. Look at whose on the CSM and then check their agenda, it's biased and they do not speak for the whole player base. There are better ways of doing this and the CSM fails at it.

It's called the Foreverwar for a reason. I'm just disgusted that Avon is using 120 people losing their jobs right before the holiday to whine about supercaps.

It's horrible.

Worst rationalization in history for keeping your supers overpowered. It's sad that you can take 120 people losing their jobs and turn it into a supercap whine. Shameful.

I just responded to what you posted. If you are now realizing that it was a bad idea to launch your campaign of nerftears on the backs of 120 now unemployed people then maybe you should think before you post.

Vile Rat just confirms how useless and childish the CSM has always been. Yesterday this Goon was white knighting for the CSM claiming as the CSM did WE are at fault for the state of EVE. This USELESS committee should be completely removed because clearly they are out of touch with what people want. How is the Jihad against ice miners going? Nice move CSM Vile Rat!!

So vote in the damned election. Get your friends to vote. All you need to get a seat on the council is a 1000 votes. I won the bloody chair position with 2600 (or something) and my alliance had 160 members :)

Listen if I can chill out and have decent discussions with Goonswarm pilots now then you can chill out with Bob pilots. We've all got far bigger fish to fry this winter. This game needs saving from the lunacy of mad philosopher kings otherwise we'll all be forced to ride epic mounts and cull magic tadpoles in the future.

to be honest in terms of eve drama CSM is probably better than the alliance tournament.

Beter still, lets participate in the democrat process by NOT voting. Surely if only a few percent of the eve subscriber base vote in an election that is practicaly thrust down your throat by CCP every election, it will demonstrate that the CSM is not wanted and has no mandate to represent us.

Oh wait, over 90% of the playerbase didnt vote for the present members. The majority DONT care or activley DONT WANT the CSM.

Sack em. Hire devs.

I then went off to enjoy a bunch of new spaceship-related content that CCP produced after they finally acknowledged that focusing on FiS instead of WiS was the right thing to do!

I don't often agree with Mittens, but in this case, he's right.

Love it or hate it, this CSM has probably been one of the most influential since the program was initiated because they made sure that CCP's questionable actions and decisions were put front in center before the people that do have the power to influence corporate decision making - the customers.

Good, bad, right, or wrong - CCP was forced to refocus on what makes Eve great and take a long hard look at what they're doing. I may not like everything the CSM does, or every position they back (or even most of the members (Evil goonz!) ) but I am rather glad they're around.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Thanks for they sympathy Mittens, but I really don't need it.

You see, stuff that happens in a game is in a game. Maybe one day you will also realise that.

Until then you will continue to game the game to win a game that can't be won. I know that the CSM is important to you in that respect, and of course you will defend it as much as you can. I get that and it isn't really the root of my concern about the CSM.

Long before you were involved in the CSM I stated that I thought it nothing more than a PR stunt; a lame reflection of what it was originally proposed to be. I have seen nothing since to change that opinion.

You can pretend that the CSM is important, that you are important, but it isn't true.
You have *my* sympathy Mittens, I really mean it.
