Rumors abound of the four galactic empires simultaneously revamping their cruiser lines (interesting timing, neh?). This presents us all with an opportunity for a showcase of cunning, creativity, and will-to-win.

Therefore:

Upon public release of the 'revamped' Cruiser hulls, we will behold a spectacle of 2v2 competition!

We will disperse isk to the glorious winners, and recognize their abilities and creativity publicly.

This tournament will be different in that each team will fight multiple times, and against a variety of other teams. There will be brackets, there will be cheering, there will be public shaming and embarassment!

The Rules!

1. Teams of two pilots, any affiliation is welcome. No limit on the number of teams per organization, either.

2. 'T1' Cruiser hulls. This EXCLUDES 'navy' or 'fleet' issue ships. Only the new 'basic' T1 hulls will be permitted.

3. No fitting restrictions.

4. After being placed in their brackets, each team will have one week to complete their matches against their opponents. It will be up to the fighting teams to determine the most appropriate location and to conduct their fights per our rules on their own schedules. Neutral referees will be made available. Points willbe tallied and brackets will reset each week as we move towards the finale.

5. Further details for combat protocols will be distributed to participants.

6. Entry fee: 50m ISK per pilot. This will fund the prize-pool, so there is a direct relationship between the amount of participants and the amount you can win. In essence speak to your friends and enemies, the more the merrier!

A mailing list will be set up to inform participants of updates to schedules, etc.

As always we wish good fortune to all our participants, and may the best team win!!

What happens if the two sides cannot get together, or what happens if the two sides agree to show up at a certain time and place and one side does not do it, but decides to claim that no agreement was reached?

It's pretty straight-forward, and most reasonable capsuleers will be able to come to an agreement, and most teams will only join who have reasonable expectations as to their availability. We will accomodate as many varied schedules as possible.

We have little patience for idiocy and intentional sabotage, however, and will simply remove teams we feel are being intransigent.

We will address issues as they arise, of course. But this is not a democracy where everyone gets an equal say or an equal voice and then uses that platform to disrupt honest competitors.

Looking forward to this. A great thing about cruisers and destroyers is that it doesn't take years to train into a proper fit.

Greetings combatants!

A friendly reminder we will begin the 'signup' period later this week, with our first bouts to commence in roughly two weeks time.

A 'mailing list' will be created to familiarize participants with the rules and what they can expect.

Two Items of Note:

1. Participants may change the ships they use each and every match, should they like. One must keep their opponents guessing!

2. A Reminder that 'jamming' Modules are not permitted. All other forms of ewar are (Disruption, painting, damping, etc).

I am guaranteeing a 1 billion ISK payout to the winning team.
