Are you talking about miners or the CSM now?

Frankly, I'm not seeing much of a difference between the two.

CCP listen to a buncha idiots on the forums,

Simple as that

CCP are STUPID, it's as simple as that. They pretend there a bad ass company, but what kinda company, screws every patch day, never listens to the real player base because they don't care about forums and has less players in there UBER SPACE GAME UNIQUE SANDBOX then

CCP don't learn from there mistakes, CCP Hilmar sent a huge letter to the community last year, within 3 weeks he had gone back on most of it and went back to being a money grabbing scumbag who pisses all over eve players

PLEX - micro transaction to BUY ISK (masqueraded as a 30 month GTC) to get ahead

Nerfs all high sec income forcing players to pretty much buy plex

CCP is a fail company that won't last much longer.

You know because of changes coming I've sold my orca, got rid of most of my industrials and am now down to missioning and wasting isk on getting blown up, why, winter expansion sounds dreadful especially since you can't do much anymore, as OP points out Goons call what they do adding content but really it's just a bunch of bored middle aged guys with not much else to do in game since BOB died off and everyone in null is blue to them, and other folks forget how much isk they got from FW LP they have 120+ thousand in real money value from LP, plus everything else GOONS own, but hey guess that's that.
My thought is ok now what, if I was Goons you have to ask since they've beaten everything including CCP why hang around for what...you won your the EVE gods good for you...ok.

I don't play Eve for the moons or such like, I log in to spend time with friends that I've made over the handful of years I've been playing.

Its time to stand up against the bad empire based CEO telling falsehoods about what new characters can accomplish and pushing them towards an in game experience of drudgery and loneliness keeping them in the shadow of ignorance for at nest their own profit at worse apathy towards all the experiences that Eve has to offer.

I actually almost felt ill reading that.

Though does it really come as a surprise? While some are, I don't think all that are responsible for the plans of most of what they do are skilled in the respective fields. In short, Devs play and can you guess which alliance(s) they are in?

The guys who did this tried to tell CCP it was broken before it was put into the game. CCP said, "No it's not." They then put it in the game as it was.

The same guys who said it was broken before it was in game knew it was broken when it was put in the game. But they had it on authority from CCP that it was working as intended.

So they used it and told everybody about it.

Knowing this, what is causing the queasiness in your innards now?

Goons have to be the bad guys, this can't be possible, it clashes with my ill-justified belief system about eve

It's a failure of dynamics.

Goons are only doing what any other group would do (what many other groups have done). If you could sit on a bunch of assets and balloon wealth you would too.

CCP knew static complexes were stupid. Knowing the specific spawn point, people would just sit on them and run them systematically. It wasn't "the game" as they intended, it was just an faucet for isk.

No resource in the sandbox should be nearly guaranteed or inexhaustible.

What needs to happen with moons is what should have happened when they implemented them: Dynamic distribution.

-Mine a moon for a few days/weeks/etc... the moon runs out of resources.
-Under that is a secondary less valuable resource.
-Every time a moon runs dry, somewhere in the great cosmos of eve a new vein of resources spawns in a moon, ready to be found by a surveyor and exploited.

The problem isn't being able to take a moon and hold it, it's that the resources shouldn't be static and inexhaustible to begin with.

The resources need to die and spawn. With no hindrance to spawning in any given system or region...

Want a sandbox? That is a sandbox. Dynamic and free-for-all approach.

Just don't be surprised when Goons or some other well organized and focused group owns them all... as they probably will. At least then they will own them on less ******** mechanical grounds.

Great idea! We should do this with asteroid belts and ice belts too, right? How about L4 missions?

Good Concept. The way it is now, EVE is a sand box game with unlimited sand. There should be a limit on that sand. I would even take it one step further. Just as the flow of isk needs to be regulated (isk in vs isk out), the resources (eg. minerals) should be the same way. Rather than the resources simply being on a spawn timer, they should trickle back as the equipment gets used (fuel blocks consumed, ammo consumed, ships/modules destroyed, etc.).

Yeah, having to own and tower up all of nullsec.

I should really sign up to help do that, I hear it's a great way to experience EVE ONLINE.
