Another Dessie/BC skill split thread - need help

So, my plan since starting eve was to spend a fair amount of time training Int/Mem support skills before remapping to Perc/Will for the purpose of getting into a battleship. While training the core fitting skills I picked up a Drake with T2 shields for missioning and some miscellaneous ECM and scanning skills when I lost my focus. My (noobish) plan post remap was to train for Minmatar Battleships and projectile weapons, and then kinda go from there.

Now, my poor Drake is getting nerfed (meh) but I've got the opportunity to get BC V before it's "too late" and I'm regretting the diversions I took into ECM/scanning.

Long story short (too late) I've decided to speed up my remap to get destroyers and battlecruisers to V before the imminent skill split. I don't want to get caught with my pants down, and it'll take about a month to get those skills and their prerequisites up to V, so I'm wondering . . . How much more can I jam into my current remap before switching.

I'm not comfortable remapping much later than Dec. 4, and want BC V by the new year (or damn close). I need some opinions on what to prioritize going forward, because I change my mind twice a day. I plan on moving out to null in the kinda-near future, assuming I find the right corp, and want a solid skill set to build on. (All of these trains are for one additional level) So:

Hull Upgrades V for armor tanking?
Energy Management to V, because everyone says it's crucial?
Energy Systems Operation to V, as a poor man's alternative?
Cloaking IV and Electronics Upgrades V for covops stealth bomber doctrines?
Rigging skills from III to IV?
High Speed Maneuvering and Afterburners to IV for T2 prop mods?
Evasive Maneuvering to V for . . . Interceptors, I think?
Science to V for reasons I'm not seeing?

I've got about three weeks to play with. Or . . . Am i overreacting to the skill point split and have more time than I think?

Remap to perception/willpower for express spaceship command training, or intelligence/perception for max training in all skills over time. Actually, I'd want to doublecheck, but it's possible most of your beginner skills benefit from a different setup, so look at the attributes for the skills u wanna train and see, but Int/per is the best for long-term. All those skills you posted are important except science and rigging. Other people can rig ships for you and science only REALLY needs to be at 4 for you currently.

AND GET HULL UPGRADES V ASAP

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

The skill split is not in Retribution, the devs have confirmed that more than once. They haven't said when it will be, other than after the current rebalancing of ships is finished (iirc)

Edit: Science 5 gets you the ability to use T2 tractor beams, access to various skills for T2 invention and production and skills relating to capital ships (eg Jump Drive Operation). If you don't need any of that for now, leave Science 5 off.

I know the split doesn't come when Retribution drops, but when a dev blog says start training NOW it makes me think it's coming in the first or second patch. Which brings up another question: if I've got, say, two days left on BC V when the changes are patched in, what happens to my skills? Every racial BC to IV and two days left on each? A SP refund for the amount I already trained? Or do I just have to eat it and lose the 18 days spent almost finishing a non-existent skill?

Seeing someone suggest Hull Upgrades V in all caps makes me think I should at least do that one :)

Nobody knows what will happen with partially trained skills, as the devs haven't specified. Probably best to ask in the devblog feedback forum.

A brand new toon starting out is 60 days to get all BC's and destroyers with Destroyers and BC to 5. That is without remaps. So that may be the best guess guideline to how much time everyone has.

What he said above, that is the most logical way to go about judging the date it will be. Sry for the brief post before, I was on my mobile. But yeah, unless you NEED science V and riggings IV, don't train them that high yet (or in the case of riggings, at all). And if priority is ASAP training of dessie/BC, remap to per/wil.

I wish he would have answered the question instead of being clever :P

(Meaning, I wish he'd just say "partially trained skills will be refunded" or "partially trained skills will be applied to one random BC skill" or even "you'll just be screwed")

But thanks for the link, hadn't even seen if the question had been asked.
