I was looking at setting up a pos or two refine the basic moon goos. Though there reaction process to turn around and sell them. I was wondering if this would be profitable to do?

Now that depends on what your reacting, since market is always on move about these prices... What profitable this week, might not be profitable next week..

Yes it is profitable. Even if you buy the ores and make the reaction. But as already commented. Beware of market fluctuation. Can not depend on selling their business to continue. For weeks with happens to be the product stopped until the price rises to be able to sell at a profit.

Tip: Reaction Profit

A refining POS can make you billions per month. But be careful if mixing in some moon mining.

Most low end moon goo's don't even bring in enough to cover the fuel costs.

I was going to do my research i was just asking if anyone ever tried buying basic moon goo then refining to high tier and reselling it. I also plan on running this out of a wh pos.

You mean start from Raw Materials, or Intermediate Materials?

Either way, you better have an Orca, if you are in a low class wh, and should be prepared to do a lot of hauling.

It is more profitable to go from Raw Materials, but it is more work. Raw Materials do not fluctuate as much, so your final product will have better or more average margins.

Intermediate Materials are less hauling, but they can dip in and out of highs and lows in market. If you do this, be ready to lose some isk in it if you don't do proper research and analysis.

Also, it is good to mix it up. Research all Goo's and be set to react any of them. Reactions cost almost nothing.

This is very much like trading or manufacturing: you need to buy cheap and sell for more while making sure you account for POS fuel as well. If done correctly, reacting moon goo can be very good business. Just like trading. Or manufacturing. Or invention.
