two small tweaks i'd like to see implemented...

1 - Can we please have the possibility to move the damage (and tactical) notification pop-up, anywhere on the screen?
2 - On directional scanner: instead of ''Use active overview settings'' can we have ''Use tab-settings: [select]''?

Number 1 is already possible:

Open your Log (Eve Button --> Accessories --> Log) click on "Settings" tab and then click the lone button that says something about "Edit/Move window position" or something similar.

Drag around the 2 windows, the "Bigger" one (By default on the bottom) is the combat notifications (500 - Matthew - Hits) for example and the "Smaller" one (On top by default) is the message window such as (Orbiting Supergayplayerabouttodie at 500m)

Once your done then just click the same button in the log window to go back to "normal" mode :)



Number 2, I agree with if you want to have a different overview tab open but scan with a different tab's settings.

Hmm I know that there's definitely a button in the Log --> Settings tab as I've used it. There was a case where it was accidentally removed but I believe it was fixed.


The official "guide" is:

You can already move the damage and general notifications on Buckingham . The route is a bit hidden but we'll put a shortcut in the HUD menu:

1. Neocom
2. Accessories
3. Log
4. Settings tab
5. Press button that says 'Enter moving mode for messages '
6. Drag the two boxes to your preferred location
7. Press button again to Exit mode

Ah excellent,.. so this will come out with the winter expansion...
That leaves my second idea of being able to select a tab-setting (or even overview-profile) as the active setting for the directional scan. Any idea this is feasable?

Can you add a option to reset dmg. messages window position to default?
We are able to move them, but if you cant just get used to new positions, its a hassle to put them back where they used to be, was it a 1cm to the left, was it a bit more up or down?
Only way is to reset whole UI and that is kinda a thing to avoid for almost everyone who set up their UI just the right way.

There is no "grid" for position reference, so centering them correctly is next to impossible. Also, some sort of a grid to position them would be nice :)

What I'd like to be able to move is the ewar icons your ship is afflicted with. I like to put my selected item box front and center just above my capacitor and module cluster thingy and it covers up the ewar effects.

So,.. what about the second idea?

When tabs were introduced for the overview settings,.. fantastic!,.. (could use a bit more tho).
But the ''use active overview setting'' in the directional scanner menu was overlooked i think...
Could this be changed into ''use tab setting [select]'' ?
