The time has come for you to bring
A true update for EVE
But it’s also time to say goodbye
To hubris, pride, you see
We love your game, we want to play
What should every player do?
How could we get your sole attention?
We didn’t have a clue!

Winter update, Winter update!
Let’s wipe away our tears.
Winter update, winter update!
‘Cause the time is finally here!
The time is finally here!

Giving us four brand-new ships,
The art team’s job begins
Next we get new nebulae,
To let the stars shine in!
You take our ships,
Their old skins you let go;
Give them new textures,
So their beauty will glow!

Winter update, Winter update!
Let’s wipe away our tears.
Winter update, winter update!
The change we need is near.
Winter update, winter update!
‘Cause the time is finally here!
‘Cause the time is finally here!

Remove insurance.

This song concerns different ways of knowing: being convinced rationally about something by hearing from the experts as opposed to experiencing it directly, intimately, and intuitively for yourself ( test server )

The speaker is expressing his hopes about a new addition to a virtual space. The lecture seems rather dry and abstract, though. It focuses on scientific facts and figures all neatly arranged to appeal to human logic and reason. The lecturer offers no proofs for his hearers, who are expected to test the data and hypotheses – "We didn't have a clue!" and its success will be measured by the amount of replies and likes the poster will receive.

The song is filled with technical terms "texture", "nebulae" making an illusion that it should be assigned to a post modernism category.
