Shame the soundcloud uploads dont have the download option turned on.

tbh, this would be useful. With some of us running multiple EVE clients, the bandwidth to stream music gets narrower by the moment.

With each update my video card, sound card, RAM and bandwidth is challenged by X%. Adding an external stream will just add more complexity to the mix.

Honestly what I would like to see is, using the new Sense the Environment code you nerds are working on, make it so when there are multiple reds on grid switch to the mission combat music (that stuff is actually really good)

soundcloud listing is missing a bunch of old login tracks, the combat mission tracks and a download option.

otherwise meh.. id like it if the jukebox stayed but i can see why you're doing this. kind of indifferent on that point.

any chance to get the doppler effect implemented?

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

More immersion, a richer experience.

EVE is like a stupendously good wine that gets better and better in leaps and bounds [let me mangle a metaphor for you].

Outstanding! I'm looking forward to it.

I'm very excited about this. Anything that increases immersion gets a big +1 from me.

I still want more flexibility when selecting what sounds to hear. I am one of the players who plays in silence but would welcome the ability to only hear capacitor, shield, and armor warnings.

Wait, hybrids won't sound like a rubber band twang anymore when they fire? Granted, that was fairly appropriate before the buff.

When your ship is idle, zoom all the way on it. You will hear tympanies slowly beating.

For a while figured it was only Amarr ships but I can hear it on Gallente ships also.

That sound is actually your armor hardeners.

I really miss the old “wub wub wub” sound that warp scramblers used to make.

To put things in perspective, the jukebox is still used and mp3 players are still considered very hip and all the cool kids still have a slickly custom-skinned Winamp installed to play the latest hip songs ripped from legitimate CDs or downloaded recently or back before apple became some kinda ****** music dictator. Those days are not gone, we will not go quietly into the night, all proper PC owners wouldn't touch a MS media player if their lives depended on it.

I really like the whole idea to OMFGmonkeyislandXwingTIEfighterlukasarts/disney(tm)Stardestroyerjustlandedempiresoundtrack prompt music for real ambiance.

I don't see why it is SOOOO hard to simply allow you to put it on either automatic prompted music or manually select tracks, both new and old sound cloud or MP3 whatever .

I mean CCP removing features wrapped up as some kind of new content, honest. Worked really well with ship spinning.

Are you sure we will really want to listen to carebear music every time we have to go to highsec, or are we just going to turn it off because it is annoying and we need to listen to voicecoms?

So Sound off! Wasted feature!

or

Make it user defined and customisable useful and integrated with voicecoms and hence used!

If we are not heard your work won't be. That would be truly sad Sad

While I'll be sad to see the jukebox go, (it was wonderful being able to just pull up my music in eve and switch it up from time to time) I do love EVE's music, so it's not a big deal losing it for me.

One request though: the mission music fades out after only one or two loops which makes it kind of lame for a good chunk of lvl4's with time spawns or that require a slowboat to move into position before the pewpew can start. Any chance you guys can make it to where that awsome pulse pounding music can keep going the entire time we are in a mission? It really gets me when I'm sitting there with 50 NPC's lighting up my rattlesnake and the music is lulling me to sleep...

I got an early experience on Buckingham and I like it a lot!

Ongoing music themes on my behavior sounds very exciting, so I agree with you Team Klang and give you my green lights.
And please hurry, its only two weeks from now..

Nice changes overall and I do hope it's just a start of many good things to come. I'm glad to see you're getting rid of the jukebox. Every PC user has a proper media player, that does the same thing and does it better. It was always a system, that fitted badly to the game and functioned more like a crutch. Now that you're implementing a proper music system, it was a good time to get rid of it.

I do hope you'll provide the music for download though, so people who want to listen to it don't have to stream it. When playing a competative online game, you don't want to have non-essential streams active.

Thank you and keep up the good work.

Apparently getting rid of the Jukebox UI option? Whats the point? Why get rid of something that works perfectly fine? It makes no sense unless im missing something here?

Thoughts?

I can imagine the Minmatar ship sounds, just a guy softly going, "Wait, dammit, where'd I leave that duct tape again. Here it is... hmm... does that reactor look the same as it did the other day? Meh, close enough..."
