Hey CCP, can you PLEASE remake the sound when you use a jump bridge/ titan bridge/cyno with too many people??

My ears just got raped every single time that we take a titan bridge with the entire fleet. Shocked
A single sound more like a "kaboom" should be interesting instead of that damn sound that **** your ears.

Thanks very much

oh yes. The sound effect sounds a little bit broken to be honest.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

'Team, Team, Team, Team. I even love saying the word Team.' -- The IT Crowd

Klang is a german word. So why Team Klang?
Team of germans or Germanism ftw?

However, time to turn surround speaks on and activate the ingame sound again.

Awesome, I'm very much looking forward to this. Especially the cap warning sound should make life much easier.

I really hope, that the music will be in MP3 format, so if you are removing the jukebox, then at least I can put them to winamp.
And FYI: streaming sux. it eats up valuable bandwidth.

Awesome!
I love the current soundtrack to the point I even listen to it when I'm NOT playing EVE... yeah...I may need some help...or a life.

Only one concern...I live in WH space and get anthropophobic when more than 2 people talk in local. I fear all this sounds...ships sounds...planet sounds...will make WH feel too crowded.
It should be empty....quiet...calm...

Finally, since you are playing with sounds...any chance we can get AURA back? Maybe voicing some of these warnings?

Will you make the old music to sound better? We have 2012 and the music in game is like made on Pentium166 mmx. I know its a "space" music but could be much better. More instrumens, better quality etc. More like album "Neue - The Planets". Music like that in Eve would be awesome.

I think sound is a very important way to feed information to a pilot.

The idea of the improved turret sounds is okay, though I generally know when I am firing weapons.

I think there should be sounds whenever my ship takes damage. Perhaps different sounds for different types of weapons/damage. These sounds should occur even if I have my visual view zoomed way out - now it seems as though I only hear my ships environment when I am zoomed in. I am in my ship when I am flying it, and the information feeds (plugged into my nervous system directly, yes?) should be first-order and should not fade in and out with the movement of my camera drone. The camera drone sound should be yet another layer of input.

I also believe that the sounds for things like shield, armor and capacitor warnings should be selectable in the [ESC] menu somehow. Perhaps even allowing MP3 sound files that a player could load - some of us have been in military environments and have sounds that we remember from days gone by that we would like to use in the game. It would also be great to allow customization of the threshold at which these alarms played - so the pilot could choose to be warned of low cap at 35% or 50% - whatever they choose.

I like the idea of a warning alarm when ones cloak falls.

I am a little "meh" on the music in the game, I generally shut it off and play iTunes. I agree that for a beginner it does lend to the overall experience, and will be beneficial with the changes that contextualize the music to ones situation/activity.

I am encouraged that you are working on this area and I look forward to positive changes.

Best Regards

This is awesome. Will be sad to see the in-game jukebox go, but suppose it's for the best. In a year, most won't even remember it was ever there. RIP Jukebox. Cry

But one request:

Please give us more granular controls over sounds. Especially world sounds. For example, to turn off the atrociously-repetitive and loud NPC noises that were driving me up the wall, I had to turn off all world sounds, including the turret and jump sound effects, which I didn't want to turn off. Ditto for the armor hardener two-tone alarm, which also gets extremely annoying but which cannot be turned off separately from the world sounds.

Any chance We'll be able to down the music in a lossless audio codec like FLAC? I'd even pay for a CD.

The biggest issue when you multibox, is that you immedtialy shut off the sound, as it makes no sense.
that's too bad, as EVE music is pretty nice, but I never found an easy way to deal with that.
Anyway, the work you're doing seems interesting, I'll need to turn on the sound a bit after this release ;)
