Flying a ship faster than missiles? Burst

I had a thought.

Rather than going for crazy DPS. Has anyone ever tried flying a ship for range and then moving towards a target while shooting their volleys.

Benefit = Shield/Armor Repping is moot. Has anyone tried it?

You missed the bomber blitzing days. Match ur bomber speed to that of your Torps.... Keep firi.g as you approach from 70km out... Big alpha strike when it all hits at once. The problem now... Nano nerf removed the main way of matching speeds with your Torps.

Its called the Cavalry Raven, and it works vs carriers or dreads.
