EVE Book - ISK strategy guide - anyone read?

Anyone got this or can review this?

Likely that any information here would be out of date quickly, but might be useful for new players I guess. Any thoughts?

Yeah, it's free download as a PDF from CCP's site, too. It's nothing too complex, it's more like EVE: The Manual. Which is still something pretty important to have, it should be included in the download of the game :P

e: or at least, i thought i got it from somewhere on eveonline.com?

People pay money to learn how to make isk? This is a whole new level of stupid.

This post was lovingly crafted by a member of the Goonwaffe Posting Cabal, proud member of the popular gay hookup site somethingawful.com, Spelling Bee, Grammar Gestapo & #1 Official Gevlon Goblin Fanclub member.

I didn't recommend it just because that. From looking at the book preview he linked it also seems much better and more detailed. It's a far superior product and can also be bought as a hard copy if he so chooses.

I didn't actually click the OP's link - the name was similar enough that I assumed he's linked ISK: The Guide in hardcopy, not this different book. Sorry!

Personally i would not invest real life money for that guide, your better off buy timecode, convert to two plexes and hire some good trader to teach you hes secrets Blink Cheaper too that way.

Eve changes some what twice a year so theres no garantie that isk strategy guide is even upto date. After all we recently see some major changes too: faction warfare

Nothing to be sorry about. Based on the index and the preview the linked book covers on a basic level some of the general ISK making activities. Things like mining, missioning, manufacturing, incursions and trading are covered. The problem is, that the content seems very basic and leaves out many things you could do to make a living in the game. Even the in-game tutorial covers more things then the book does although not with such detail. ISK the guide is very similar in purpose, but covers more areas and does so with more detail.

I bought the Guide simply because I like to collect stuff. Almost all the Info there is valid today, they tried to write it that way it seems. They would be smart enough I hope to realize a product that becomes quickly out of date is useless to sell...

I never bought the ISK guide, just used the free download and printed it out on my color printer and put it in a binder. Best 0$ i ever spent! (I 'borrowed' the paper and binder from my workplace too Lol)

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

The ISK Strategy Guide- like all tomes of wisdom of its kind, is chock full of the gleanings of the ages. Market wizards and the Ancient Isklords of old have compiled their collective knowledge into this:

buy low, sell high

That is all.

For those posters who never checked out the link, this book IS NOT the iskguide. Its something else, hence why I posted.

This. The Guide is a great way to learn how to make your Isk and has good insight into trading for beginners. Don't pay for a guide, crowd sourced guides like the above quoted made by people who love the game are far better.
