I just arrived to New Eden from the warp as it were. 2 maybe 3 days since I got here.

Just thought i would say hi to the locals. see whats happening.

in all seriousness tho. I'm new just started. not looking for a helping hand or to ask newbie questions. Just thought I would get to know the communality better. I heard it helps in game if you know a couple of people.

So how are we all today? whats happening!

Many people will tell you to get a mining ship and mine. Don't do what I did and waste 5 years doing this. This game is about the community, as represented by its player alliances and corps. Everyone else is playing "single player EvE with markets". Go to the recruitment section in this forum, join the recruitment channel, look at recruitment ads, pick a player corp (hopefully not a "industrial/mining" corp) and join it.

Even if it's a crappy corp you'll learn a little. If you're lucky enough to get into a good corp you'll learn a lot. If you feel you're not learning, join another corp. Most importantly you'll make friends and pick up on all the unwritten dangers of the EvE universe that could cost you time and ISK, and perhaps you can start being one of those dangers yourself...

Are you implying miners don't have a community?

Hmm, but why should we trust your statement when you say that we shouldn't trust anyone? Twisted

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

Oh I'm sure y'all talk to each other. About mining ships and crystals and blueprints and the like. I've yet to see a miner save my ass in a hot drop gone wrong... I guess the word I am looking for over community is "camaraderie". Miners have no camaraderie, because they play single player EVE alongside other people instead of creating multi-player interaction through the use of ammunition.
