Not to sound callous, but if you're going to be stopping by major trade hubs anyway, can't you just buy the supplies and hire the people you need there? You're both veteran capsuleers, and I can't imagine you're hurting for ISK.

If you have the space to house six hundred thousand and free access to the interstellar market - and it sounds like you do - the rest should go fairly easily. Six hundred thousand sounds like a lot, but both the market and the wallets of capsuleers are certainly big enough to see to their needs without putting much of a dent in either.

Ahh, yes. Indeed you are correct, I'm not 'hurting for ISK' as you put it. However, I've found that it is often more conducive to future events if various parties are involved. The altruistic amongst us would have been disheartened to learn there was an opportunity such as this, and they were unable to assist.

And on a practical note, while I can do this simply with my resources on Tyrathlion property (my own estates are compact and don't have the volume of land necessary to house them; I wasn't intending on expanding them quite that much this quickly), I see no reason to expend all of my resources that have been put in place for my staff when there are those that will assist in providing aid for these people.

If SUHLD & TYRIN would be willing to make a public statement that incorporates in some shape or form the below, I would be willing to provide assistance directly to these organisations.

However, at the moment there is nothing to stop these two organisations leeching supplies from good, honest individuals and organisations and then attempting to re-sell these poor people into the Amarrian slave market.

I would like to see that...

  1. All of the people are relocated to a station outside the Amarr Empire or Ammatar Mandate.
  2. All of the people retain the indefinite right to leave the SUHLD/TYRIN compound of their own free will.
  3. A guarantee that neither of these organisations will sell, trade, facilitate or condone the transfer of said individuals into the Amarrian slave market.

If they were to promise this then I would be happy to assist.

This was simply too humorous to ignore. But let me clarify, I have no intentions of selling any of these people on the Amarrian Slave Markets.

To address your list of demands. *This causes Inara to chuckle slightly*

One, I won't (for their safety and the safety of the people working) disclose that location. Suffice to say, they are safe and in neither of the two locations you listed.
Two, there is nothing preventing them from leaving unless they are in need of medical attention that prevents it.
Three, the Amarrian Slave Markets will never see any of these individuals.

I'm trying to figure out how you would promise to assist, as you're barely out of Flight School. But, if you have the resources available, we won't turn them away.

Please accept my apologies for doubting your sincerity, but you can't trust anyone. At the very least if these individuals are mistreated, we now have a public record to call you out on.

I may be out of flight school, but I can help, I will be bringing some supplies directly to Amarr now.

Skadi's Call has a large quantity of medical supplies, including antibiotics and medical equipment, left from the last "Assistance shipment" sent to us by the I-RED. We would be happy to donate some of this to assisting these people.

We also fund a hospital and long term care center for children and families with high-needs in Gelfiven. We would be happy to transport and care for any individuals who may be suffering from long term physical and/or psychological problems (This is what the center is for) such as TBI, Vitoxin dependency, psychological issues, or severe physical disability.

In short, we will do whatever we can to help these people.

Avlynka Surionen

Your assistance is greatly appreciated Pilot Surionen, any supplies you wish to donate will be accepted with pleasure. At this time, we don't intend to transport them; the plan is to make sure there are no lasting health concerns, as well as performing full psychological evaluations. As I'm sure you're aware, this will take some time.

However, we may be in touch later about assistance in transporting those who will need to be returned to the Republic. That will have to be discussed in the future, no need to get ahead of ourselves yet.

Of course. I will likely arrange delivery of the assistance through Pilot Lagann, as I, and my employees and associates, seem to be rather wanted in the Empire.

Let me know if you require anything.

I have set-up a contract in Amarr assigned to Subaka Holdings with the following:

  • 18,000 units of Antibiotics
  • 10 units of Galeptos Medicines
  • 20 units of Zemnar Medicines
  • 16,000 kilos of Frozen Foodstuffs
  • 4,000 kilos of Long-Limb Roes
  • 25,000 kilos of Cigarettes
  • 25,000 kilos of Synthetic Coffee

I hope the above helps in some small way.

Let me clarify the response to a few concerns I have seen expressed:

ONE: This is a joint project, with joint oversight. Your donations are not at risk of disappearing or being resold to fund someone's war coffers. Conversely, however, we are not at this time simply "handing off" any of these people to anyone at this point in the process. Eventually, once we begin returning people to their homes, they may choose to remain in employment with a capsuleer organization or we may contact such organizations for assistance; this will not, however, be a a case of simply "dumping" the people on other groups without oversight.

TWO: We will not be treating these people as stock or cattle. They are victims, and are going to be treated as such. In this vein, there is zero need to worry about them being forced into slavery in the Empire, Kingdom, or any other entity.

THREE: We reserve the right to refuse access to this project any group, person, or other entity we feel to be detrimental to the well-being of these people. This includes, primarily, groups which have a shown a marked lack of respect for human life and well-being. The first that we are apparently going to have to announce is our refusal to allow is any group, person, or entity with ties to Sansha's Nation.

Thank you.

I've donated some food and medical supplies. Morwen told me she can get them where they need to go.

Good luck!

Before I begin, I would like to offer my most sincere apologies for the lack of progress updates on our part. We've been kept incredibly busy over the last several weeks, first working to get a proper census of the people in our care (we completed that census almost two weeks ago on the 12th of November), and then helping move people into proper housing for the duration of their rehabilitation and treatment. That process was completed as of noontime (Eden Standard) on the 20th.

I would like to go over several of the break-downs of the victims of the inappropriately-named "games" in Rilera, as well as provide some details of these groups' situations.

Because we began performing triage the moment these people arrived at our facilities in order to get immediate medical care to those who needed it, the first data we had available to us involved patients requiring medical care. Routine checkups and treatment have been and will continue to be available to all of those in our care, and while I don't have the numbers handy regarding routine visits, I can provide numbers for those who required additional treatment and care beyond those:
- 56 people suffering from broken bones.
- 2,409 suffering from infections or general bacterial sickness.
- 20 suffering serious illnesses, including but not limited to cancers and pneumonia.
- 958 suffering from mental disorders, including but not limited to PTSD, capture-bonding and paranoid schizophrenia.

Another piece of information that we took note of was the number of actual slaves among the people rescued. Approximately 108,000 (17.6%) of the 615,000 people handed over to us were legally considered to be slaves in the Empire** prior to their time with Ms. Vitalia and their recent, subsequent transfer to Inara. Of them, just shy of 8,400 are infected with Vitoxin and require daily doses of the Vitoc antidote.

Some further general statistics:
- Just over half (53%) of the group are of Matari descent. Amarrians make up a further 31% of the total, and the remaining 16% are made up of nearly equal numbers of Caldari and Gallente.
- The majority (65%) of people in our care were originally taken in raids on Amarrian space. The smallest portion of people were taken from the State - barely 1%. 26% were taken in the Republic, and the remainder from the Federation. Assuming that the questions were answered truthfully, all of the 615,000 people were taken from territory owned by the "Big Four".

Now that everyone is where they need to be, and we can start the rehabilitation and treatment process, we've done some further analysis of what we need most:
- Our supplies of food look fine for now thanks to some very generous donations from a few individuals.
- Water supplies should be adequate, but additional donations are always welcome.
- Pending a shipment from one of our donors, I believe we will have sufficient supplies of antibiotics and other medical supplies on hand.
- Supplies of Vitoc, however, are a mild concern: I personally have kept a small supply on hand to serve the needs of the handful of crew and staff I have working for me that were unfortunate enough to have been infected with that detestible toxin at some point prior to being hired. My supply is dwindling under the added pressure of serving the 8,400 additional victims who require it, however: as a result, Vitoc is highest on our priority list at the moment and donations of the antidote are most welcome.
- There are a number of children and teenagers among the group; donations of toys, personal computing devices and other consumer electronics would be appreciated, but we can probably work with local retailers to serve our needs if it comes down to it.

Lastly, I'd like to extend my thanks to those who have already sent in donations of supplies and personnel, and if there are any questions, I, Inara or Esna will attempt to answer them as best we can without jeopardizing the security and well-being of the people in our care.

Thank you.

** "Legally considered," in this case, pertains only to those who can be traced back to an existing (or, in some cases, recently-extinguished) Holder family residing in the Empire, Kingdom or Mandate. It is primarily a note for our reference for when rehabilitation and treatment periods are coming to a close and it is time to start the process of returning people to their homes. We will touch on this more then, but not at this time.
