Hey All

For some reason i never see anything relating to the multiplay iSeries LAN on these meetup forums so i thought id put something here.

At the end of the month gamers from all over the world will converge on the Telford International Centre for a weekend of energy drink & pizza fuelled gaming!

There is usually an eve-meetup thing in the bar (theres a supprise XD ) and it would be great to see more fellow eve players there.

Tickets for the event start at a fiver for a one day spectators pass and the eve meet is usually on the Saturday (01/12/12)

Hope to see you in the bar for some stories and drinks

Giving this a little bump :). Thanks for the promo Nobuko. For those who don't know me, I'm the RL CEO of Multiplay (the company behind the insomnia festival). I occasionally get time to fly internet spaceships in between bids for global domination :p

We're looking to seriously up the ante on the EvE player gathering at insomnia47. Not least of which I have help this time in the form of ex-CCP StevieSG who has recently joined the team here at Multiplay. The gathering will be from 2pm on Saturday 1st December, which is conveniently the same day as the infamous pub quiz. Not that us EvE players generaly need any excuse to drink :).

The site to head to is http://iseries.multiplay.co.uk It's only a fiver for a day pass, which includes access from 10am until bar close (2am on Saturday or "whilst there are customers" :D). We have a whole exhibition hall of hardware and software companies to check out, as well as some great eSports action across 20 tournaments from League of Legends to Streetfighter. At Insomnia46 back in August we gave away over £30k ($48k) in prize money.

Fancy making a weekend of it? Well it's only £25 for a spectator pass for the whole weekend including camping. If you don't fancy braving the November weather, there are plenty of hotels on site and nearby. We also have BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer/Console) spaces for £92 for the whole weekend (9am Friday - 4pm Monday 24x7 game time!). We even have a whole suite of rental PCs if you don't fancy lugging your own kit to the show from an extra £60.

Would be great to see more EvE players attending. We may well have a few tricks up our sleeve for this one. More on that when we have it confirmed :)

In the meantime, if you have any questions about the event please fire away...

But aside that I can highly recommend coming along to the iSeries, its a great weekend event. The EVE meet is a regular occurrence and is a good chance to get to know other people playing the game. Even if you only turn up for the meet its a great day out!

I shall be there, it is a great event if you can make it for the whole weekend as a BYOC participant you really should.

The EVE meet is a great place to swap old stories and make new friend in eve all whilst drinking the bar dry!

As a frequent attendee of these events, I can tell you that the EVE Meet is always a bunch of fun. Apparently I recruit people while drunk!

Nagistar is a great host, and always holds a special place for EVE players, even if he hardly ever logs in.

I don't hate you, I'm just not necessarily excited about your existance.

iSeries meetups are always awesome, and I'd seriously recommend anyone nearby get a spectator ticket (at the very least!) and come say hi during the infamous EVE Meet, it's always a good laugh and you get to meet the people you've been shooting day in day out face to face and realize we're really not all that different.... Until you remember they're actually Goons and you shouldn't be sharing the same room with them for risk of catching something.

As a non-WI person I whole heartedly support this. Been going since Newbury days and has always been a good laugh (even Stoneleigh sort of).

Now Nagistar can yell at me here as well as Twitter!

If you're able to I would strongly suggest you go as a BYOC attendee.

And yes as Venetian Tar says Nagistar is a great host with a brilliant support team (quite a few of whom are vounteers so be nice!)

Fake edit: Nagi, you can pay me next time I am able to attend Twisted

Hey Guys, It's your friendly neighbourhood StevieSG!

Very excited on behalf of Mulitplay to meet up with you Capsuleers at Insomnia, should be a really awesome time.

Ideas for drinking games:

Gallente Challenge: All requests for drinks must be in French.

Caldari Challenge: Must only drink blue shots.

Amarr Challenge: Must only drink when no one is looking.

Minmatar Duct Tape Challenge: Minmatar attendees must duct tape bottles of cider to their hands and only remove them when finished.

Anyway, stay tuned to this thread for more info on the event, and feel free to drop ideas in here for stuff you'd like to do, people you'd like to see attend etc.

Lets get this thread stickied too! do the mod's rap these days? Blink

Best,

Stevils

I shall also be going to i47 along with what seems to quite a few members of my corp Smile
Been going to the insomnia events since insomnia43 (skipping i44) and they are such great fun. The EVE meet has been great for my diplomacy and bad for my liver.

Just a thought but would anyone be interested in some sort of roam or fun tournament at LAN? There was a fun tournament ran by some university students a couple of LANs back and turned out to be rather good fun.

Hey Guys,

I'm delighted to confirm the lovely guys at EON Magazine have given us a Years Subscription to EON Magazine, for one lucky attendee of the EVE Meet.

If you haven't gotten your fingers on an issue and want to know more about what the lucky winner has in store you can visit EON's website which is also their store and register. You can then download EON issue #027 as a free download.

Happy Flying!
