why exactly is it that no one from the empires has made it into jove space, loricly speaking?

Because they have the Ph34r. From a lore standpoint... the Amarrans raised the most advanced and large fleet to counter the Jove in their own space... and they still got their a55es handed to them. ...on their own turf. The Jove pretty much created CONCORD, so nobody wants to f'uk with them. It would upset the entire balance of New Eden, and anyone who stood against them would likely loose. Loosing power isn't in the interest of any leader... so the empires leave the Jove alone and maintain their stranglehold on power. ...from a lore standpoint that is your answer.

All that said... if you really want to get into the lore... the Jove are fighting a war on many fronts. They fight the Talocan and thus their creation, the sleepers... essentially rogue drones on another level. More importantly, the Jove are dealing with a race called The Enheduanni, which are an uber offshoot of the original Earth colonists. Their plate is full, and as I understand it the Jove aren't winning. This again, just lore... but you asked.

Hope the Jove never appear or become accessible, knowledge is to curiosity what the ocean is to a candle.

Would be a nice special event.

Give the blobs a good run, give them 1 off great modules and implants but make the Jove like they are in the lore.

From my understanding of Eve lore, Jove ships are so powerful that a handful of them could destroy an entire fleet with ease. There is a good reason why Jovian ships aren't actually in the game, and why they shouldn't be.

Jovians should and always remain the mysterious race.

this is the problem with people and the lore, jove ships are NOT like that.
a single cruiser sitting still wouldn't kill a battleship of any kind.
there was a large fight jove vs amarr where the amarrians DID lose but if you read why it is understandable

1. the amarrians slow battleships refused to leave the fight, as it is against amarrian laws to leave battle EVER
2. the jove used fast ships to avoid the weapon fire, thus amarrian ships were pretty much powerless vs them
3. Jove motherships which are very powerful, arguably as powerful as a titan with old DDs was shooting amarrians off grid.

a well fit fleet of any capsuleer navy will be a good match vs a jove fleet. Jove ships are more advanced then the other 4 races but it is like t1 vs t3.

Didn't Sansha Kuvakei take over a Jovian station, and possibly some of their space too?

Battle of Vak'Atioth

Forewarned, the Jove were able to meet the Amarr fleet with a perfect counter. The Amarr fleet was composed mostly of battleships and heavier cruisers. Its support was light, leaving the fleet sluggish and unguarded.

The Jove countered with small wings of frigates. While the Amarr scored the first kill, destroying a stationary Jove ship, the Jove frigates quickly reached full speed and were able to pin down the Amarr vessels. It was then that a Jovian Mothership was brought onto the field. An ancient vessel of a size nearly unmatched throughout New Eden, it had been equipped with the latest and most devastating of Jove weaponry. Each shot was capable of destroying an Amarr battleship entirely.

The Amarr, finding their ships pinned by the Jove frigates and being picked apart by long-range cruiser fire and the Mothership's doomsday weapon, fell into chaos. Their lines of communication were broken and Amarr battle doctrine refused surrender or retreat.

The entire battle lasted just under six hours and ended with the majority of the Amarr ships lost, while the Jove had lost only a third of their vessels.

So not bad for small wings of frigates and 1 mothership.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

Don't sleepers have something to do with the Jove?

Given the current evidence available there appears to be strong historical and sociological connections between the Jovian and Sleeper societies. The attempts to find a cure for the lethal Jovian Disease forced a separation of the two groups, where the Sleepers used their expertise in virtual worlds to prolong the grave state of depression caused by the disease. To find a permanent cure, the Sleepers went on a quest to reconstruct their corrupted DNA; the cause of the disease. For this they needed unmodified DNA from other ethnic groups which eventually lead to the eradication of the Yan Jung Nation. Unsuccessful in solving the DNA mystery with specimens from New Eden alone, the Sleepers constructed huge Motherships and star gates to take them far beyond New Eden into w-space. There they continued their DNA research on the Talocans, a race untainted by the massive radiation emitted by the collapse of the EVE Gate. Seemingly, this research was either unfruitful or is still ongoing thereby making the final fate of the Sleepers unknown.

The spring expansion 2009 "Apocrypha" introduced Sleepers as inhabitants of the newly introduced Wormhole space, though at this point all interactions with them appear to be with drones rather than manned vehicles, leaving the ultimate fate of the race unknown

Somewhere between most and all of this seems to have been made up by players.

Just saying.

In Theodicity the Enheduanni are never called a race.

They are referred to as "The Order", which suggests that they are some kind of religious/mystic organization. As far as I can tell, there is no evidence of Terran-Enheduanni link (any more than there is a Terran anything-else link), beyond the fact that they have been around a long time. That aspect of them seem to be unfounded speculation, (or completely made up) by over enthusiastic players.

The Marcabian 5th Invasion Fleet currently does not provide any outsiders (see NTs) with access to Jove space or Wormhole Tech. This has been the time tested standard of all Marcabians and it shall remain that way for the foreseeable future. Not even the most prestigious of graduates from the Society of Conscious Thought can call themselves members of our elite organization.

There are two systems very close together...i will fit a really fast ship and get snake implants...visually sight-in on the neighboring jove system and travel till just before DT and bookmark the location. The moment after DT i warp to the BM and start again...repeating this until i enter the jove system. Of course, the ship will be fitted with a cyno and fuel. Then i will have a corp-mate use a jump-freighter to shuttle to and fro.

You do realize space is vast right?
Like inconceivably vast for your method.
Course if you kicked out the warp drive you would be able to do this as then you would be able to accelerate to near light speed.
But then you would be stuck, forever, if anything went wrong.

Why do clones work if you die in wormhole space?

Actually good sir, these ideas have been debunked in Templar One. It's a good read. You should check it out.

tl;dr of it;

Talocan didn't make Sleeper Drones, and Enheduanni aren't really Earth colonists...well sort of, but they're something else.

Lore wise, the four empires think the Jove are dead, long dead. There hasn't been official contact with them for a while.

**********SPOILER AHEAD DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU WANT SPOILERS**********

In Templar One, there was a drone ship the Jove sent to intercept and help an Amarrian scientist responsible for the DUST clones and their tech stolen from Sleeper/Architect bodies harvested from Sleeper space. The drone was uploaded with a fully conscious Jovian mind that had died physically before reaching the good doctor to help him. So far, that's the only recent Jovian encounter made.

Hell, even when Sansha came around, there was a feed obtained by an eve player of a fleet of Sansha warships right outside a Jove station. This is up for debate, but I think they were able to use it because...well...there are no more Joves. That, or they're so far gone and so damnably diminished and fractured that they cannot hold anything but the smallest bits of space.

I'm not sure that it ever really became part of the 'Prime Fiction', as such... from what I understand of it, some Dev's who were working on Incursion happened to log-in the Kuvakei character while they they working on it, and some enterprising soul ran a locator agent on him... at that point, the rumours started flying off all over the place among the RP'ers, and the live-event Dev's chose to just run with it, rather than disappoint them all.

So, as part of an RP'ed event it seems to have been so, but whether it ever makes it into EVE's consolidated back-story is another matter.

I bet the violent wormhole, that Sansha Kuvakei opened in Promised Land system during the events few years ago. leads to Jove space... all we need to do is figure out how to travel safely through that wormhole (Sansha can, so maybe the answer is in their ships).

Hm view that station from the top and it looks remarkably familiar if you have ever done the SOE arc. Maybe there ARE Jovians among us...
