Criminal Flag for Looting War Targets In Retribution?

I recently was involved in a high sec war dec. Nothing major. I popped a module on a POS after the shields came down and the can it dropped was marked with the war target's information. As I loot the can, it informs me that I'm stealing. It wasn't an issue right then and there, because we're at war with them and only criminally flagged to them.

My question is: what happens under the new flagging system? Will I get a suspect flag for looting a war target? If so, why? This implies that if I conduct a war in high sec and do any looting, everyone in EVE can shoot me. That seems strange if they're my war target.

thanks for any info

Hopefully not, that would be silly. The crimewatch changes seem like they are on the Buckingham test server right now, so you could go test it out, or ask in the Test Server Feedback subforum.

But this wasn't test server feedback. The guy was asking a question about a soon-to-come change based on his experience on Tranquility. I may be wrong but it seems to me most such threads have run their course in GD just fine.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

This is something that is not speculative or really to be "discussed", but a yes/no query that can easily be answered by some dude playing around on the test servers.

Also, if the answer is "yes, this behaves as OP feared", then it needs to be in Test Server Feedback so the devs see it and fix it.

I don't think the situations you get flagged for change.

Old system: If you take from a yellow wreck/can you get aggression to the owner of the loot.
New system: If you take from a yellow wreck/can you get a Suspect flag.

I agree though, you should not recieve a flag for looting a wartarget's wreck. Better yet, you should have ownership (and hence rights to take from) all wrecks of ships you or your fleet have killed that didn't result in a GCC (Now Criminal flag)

Any dev input on this?

If you're going to move threads to the nether regions of the forums, please make sure that such questions are actually answered or the issue is going to be handled as you seem to think it will.

Are you saying that a Dev will answer it here? Have you added it some list of problems they need to look into? Is simply saying something here guaranteed to be read and considered by a dev, whether or not they actually reply to the thread?

I have grown so weary of ISD. If this isn't answered or acknowledged in the next 2 days, please have the grace to admit it was a bad idea to move it and move it back.

Hi,

It's not our responsibility to ensure that a thread is answered, but we know that it will help if it's put in the right forum for a the right person to respond to it.

Now, let's not derail this thread with a debate about moderation; there's a sticky in General Discussion if you want to talk about the general policies of moving threads; but let it suffice to say it's not a case of right or wrong, it's a case of following the forum rules and posting on-topic.

Talking of the rules, let me remind you of the forum rules in this case, I've highlighted the relevant part.
