Megathron Model Change

Why did you change the model of the Megathron? Once it looked like a pretty shark, now it looks like one with its fins cut off. I dont get what the sense behind that change is. Please dont let this go live!

New Megathron looks sleeker and never looked like a shark to begin with (You're thinking of the Proteus, and to a lesser extent, Tengu, with the right subsystems). It may have lost it's fins but it has gained a more definitive visual style, a far better looking engine cluster, and also little animated spinny lights. You have to look for them but they're there.

I agree. I like the new Megathron model. Wish that the front was curved instead of slanted though.

As to your comments on the new look, I personally like it, and it's going to be better when it goes live. They've fixed some issues with the material resolution in internal builds.

I found out that the Kronos has a floating hardpoint. Any turret, salvager and tractorbeam, floats in the air when fitted on that hardpoint.
Would also like to see that all four turrets fit on the front of the Kronos instead of the current three.

guess i'm in the minority that thinks the old one looks better than the new one, the new one just looks bleh... and when they applied the hull to the vindicator... omgwtfbbq bleh...

Love the new model and love the nice engine effects. Especially the glowing rippling effect and the blue glowing light strip around the engines (the one that lights up with the engine effects and warp effects). I think all of the older engine effects should be changed to look more like this.

Now all we need is a new Dominix model Big smile

Yeah, I think the Dominix would be a good candidate for remodelling at the battleship level, definitely. Especially with the new art direction the Gallente are going in; something one could define as a blend of Vexor and Dominix in this style (while cutting some of the awkward lumpiness that plagues the Dominix) would make for one of the coolest looking battleships in the game I think. The engine effects are great too, and there's also some on the Tempest and it's variants, on the sides of the engines. Slowly everything's getting just that much more impressive.

the old megathron (current one in fact) is really a great beast.

the new one is awesome (as most of the updates on model are in this expansion tbh especially the tempest variants, except the vargur maybe wich is weird)

The new model is a definite improvement, but I wish they'd get rid of those ridiculous shovels at the front.

That's asking to remove the mega's strongest design language....I'm not sure it'd be a Megathron without them.

I like the new model .. new engine effects and especially the new drone hangar effect .. cant wait for revamp of the "drone biest" dominix and off course the carriers :D

I like the new mega line. In particular, the Kronos. That, is a thing of beauty.

you are right, judging by the work done on the megathron hull, i can't wait to see a similar job done to the domi, hyperion and gallente capitals Big smile
