As an aside, how are you going to decide odds without direct access to pilot lists or histories?

Unfortunately, their strength right now is their anonymity. No team can really prepare for their opponent come the first match, because nobody knows who their opponents are.

It sucks. And it's what makes the New Eden Open less interesting than the Alliance Tournament, but I doubt you'll have too many teams showing their opening hand.

EDIT: Or Michael BoltonIII can just post all the team captains.

As opposed to fixed odds betting that you often see in sports betting, we offer pool betting in which the odds are determined by how much ISK is bet on each team and the ISK that winds up in the pool is split between the winners. Of course we seed each bet with some isk so that the first person to bet also has a chance to win something even if no one else bets against.
