Hello I would like to modify Ships entries to test the future set up of the T1 cruisers.
Anyone knows how to do that?

I finally managed to make EFT update prices, so it became 15% more awesome.
I believe I've never thanked for this tool. So thank you, saved me from many ****fits and ISK blown for nothing Smile

Okay, getting really frustrated with the latest iteration, and wanted to bring it up so that either:

  • Someone can help me figure it out!
  • Someone can make sure it's fixed in the EFT 17.0

In EFT 15.1, when I'd hover over either the "question mark" that told the ship bonus, or the "red light" that told what skills you lacked, the tooltip would be sized correctly but blank. However, sliding the mouse pointer over to either the fitting drop-down or character name drop-down would cause the tooltip to properly display. Strange, but it worked. Also, all the other tooltips in the program worked just fine.

Here's a visual aid:
Picture of Tooltip

In EFT 16.0, the "question mark" and "red light" still give me blank tooltip boxes, but moving the pointer to the fitting drop-down or character drop-down now causes the tooltip to disappear. As a result, I'm unable to see lacking skills or refresh my memory on why I want to train another level of ship skill.

The most frustrating part is that it only happens on one of two comptuers, though the other computer isn't as useful for doing EVE planning. Both are running Windows 7 SP1, both are running the Aero desktop, I've tried every compatibility setting I can think of, and it happens without fair. It doesn't matter if I'm running EFT from a flash stick, hard drive, or network share.

I even tried PYFA due to this issue... and realized how far that slow and clunky piece of software needs to go to catch up with EFT... not to mention my library of fits.

Can anyone help? Or can this at least be fixed in the next update, if nothing else, to revert back to the 15.1 behavior?

EFT 2.16 still writes Microwarpdrive as MicroWarpdrive.
CCP changed this a while back.

Where does EFT store fittings and settings?
It's not in the same directory as EFT is running, it's not in the Setups Subdirectory, it's not in the Characters sub directory.
It's not in AppData, it's nowhere where it should be.

Exporting fittings to xml and importing them does not work either because whoever programmed it was intelligent enough to open each imported fit in a new window. Having 826 fittings this would open 826 windows and results in an error message.

I did run EFT in C:\Program Files (x86)\EFT_new on Windows 7 64 Bit, Version installed was EFT 2.15.

any help appreciated.

Question about incorrect values in boosts for mining.

Perhaps this is already brought to your attention but.

Currently in EFT I have a hulk and an orca open.
I set the orca up as booster for the hulk through FC in EFT on the Hulk.

The fits are as follows:

[Orca, New Setup 1]
[empty low slot]
[empty low slot]

[empty med slot]
[empty med slot]
[empty med slot]
[empty med slot]

Mining Foreman Link - Mining Laser Field Enhancement II
Mining Foreman Link - Laser Optimization II
Mining Foreman Link - Harvester Capacitor Efficiency II

[empty rig slot]
[empty rig slot]
[empty rig slot]

(With a Mining foreman Mindlink in booster\implants)

and

[Hulk, New Setup 1]
Ice Harvester Upgrade II
Ice Harvester Upgrade II

[empty med slot]
[empty med slot]
[empty med slot]
[empty med slot]

Ice Harvester II
Ice Harvester II
Ice Harvester II

Medium Ice Harvester Accelerator I

(With the 'Yeti' Ice Harvesting IH-1003 implant)

The orca pilot has the following affecting skills: (Aside from obvious required skills to be able to get into the ships)
Mining Director V
Mining Foreman V
Warfare Specialist V
Industrial Command Ships IV

The hulk pilot has the following affecting skills:
Exhumer V
Ice Harvesting V
Mining Upgrades IV

So , to the problem.

According to EFT the mining cycle time is then 147.85353 seconds per ice harvester.
But in EVE. the actual cycle time is 145.26 seconds.

I noticed this as I wanted to see what level V would do for me on Industrial Command Ships IV on the orca pilot but I am left to wonder if I can trust it or not.

Is this a bug in EFT or perhaps in EVE? :)

Any advice?

Best Regards
Me

How do I export a fit I've made in .eft format?

I can only see options for exporting as XML.

TIA.

Hey. EFT is a great program. I use it all the time.

But is there any way to add custom ships? Or perhaps just add more slots or change existing ships?

I really believe freighters should have fitting options and it would be nice to be able to add some slots to the freighters just to see what crazy fits you can come up with. Else it would be nice just to be able to add a completely custom ship and be able to change its attributes, number ofg low-med-highs, rig slots and so on. Just for whenver you are bored or whatever. It could help people when suggesting new ideas, modules and ship classes, and perhaps even the CCP devs if it was possible to add custom ships and custom items.
It could also enable people trying fits for proposed new ships, or ships with changing attributes in comming patches etc. I know its probably a niche thing and nothing the majority of the EVE player base would be using, but none the less it would be a cool feature

First off, thanks for keeping this going, great work.

Second, I'm apparently a complete noob when using EFT... how do I import BattleClinic EFT exports into the tool?

Is it a bug where I can't fit 3 gang links to a Fleet Command ship? Only let's me on-line one.

Apologies if this has been discussed, 43 pages is to hard to read on land line speed internet.
