While I am sure this has been brought up, when I used the search feature I got more garbage than hits and didn't want to have to read thru it.

Can anyone tell me why there is a 24 hour cooldown on jump clones. It makes no sense and is keeping me from PvPing at the moment since I jumped last night into an expensive clone and now want to go to low sec hunting war targets but can't risk this clone. You want people to PvP more, well try removing this cooldown for starters, I could care less about losing ships but will not lose billions of isk in implants.

AFIAK it's to prevent abuse of players just jumping around EVE at a whim.
I have quite often missed fleets due to mistiming my jump clones, it happens though! A change to maybe 12 hours would be nice but until that happens sorry to say you need to suck it up and just JC less often if you want to PVP.

Because it potentially allows instant free teleportation to any location in the universe.

I vote for a one hour cooldown on jump clones or a system that has no cooldown but maybe some other limitation to prevent abuse of the system. I think something about not being able to jump with an aggression timer or an anti-jump rule for 1 hour after GCC or aggression. I don't know.

They should limit the range you can jump then, as it is now its a barrier to pvp and that is the path they are trying to get us to take. I am new to pvp with my main, but am finding it pretty fun in a war situation. I just didn't realize the limits of jump clones and now am dry docked while war targets are flying outside waiting to be dusted.

It's been suggested many times, that the jump clone transfer be separated from the teleportation feature. Meaning no time limit on local transfers, basicly how current ship change works, and use a cooldown only when teleporting around.

Yeah, that's a good idea. Maybe allow every station with a medical facility to enable non-teleport Jump Clones with no cooldown.

I agree, jump clones and implants scare many away from PvP, the cost of ships is nothing compared to most implants and who wants to sacrifice training time for 24 hours to go look for a fight somewhere.

Clone safety in lowsec comes down to whether the guy in the dual sebo thrasher has a lower ping time than you.

I just read your original post and liked it alot. There are many good ideas out there which could replace the current system which clearly is limiting and keeping people from doing what the dev's clearly want us to do-fight.
