While I found OP's post insightful, I was taken aback by it's brevity. I think he could have perhaps spent more time developing the plot and adding color to the scene.While character depth wasn't there, the protagonist was certainly a mans man.It had a rugged and unabashed approach without much frivolity. While initially appearing one sided some of the screenplay had more to offer on the second consumption. At first seeming simple, the complexity is brilliantly understated.

Would read again though because of relevant content and a fresh perspective on the Man Vs Society genre.
