Do I need 100,000,000 to truly be bitter?

It comes somewhere between 50k and 100k SP......

It's a gradual transformation, one day you'll look in the mirror, and realize that the game is boring, has no quality endgame, supercaps are a waste of isk, too many bugs, and looks crappy in actual fleet combat. (Due to you being forced to lower your settings to prevent graphics lag)

You then sit down in your CQ and contemplate your future, while watching crappy 1 channel TV programming that repeats over and over and over, while wishing that the Nex store had a handgun selection........P

It strangely sounds like Real Life !

Nope, you just need memories of the old days when EvE used to be a cold dark place, blobs meant a couple of battleships and 0.0 blue lists were much shorter.

Those were the golden days of EvE.

For me the 'golden days' were the first 6 months of play when one literally knows NOTHING.

I do agree with a previous comment around that ammount of sp i started becoming bitter as well and just shooting whoever poor creature would annoy me just for the sake of it and make miners feel like crap.

I don't mind being ganked (last time it happened they only benefitted from the use of Focused Interdiction on my Warp +6 Bustard. What's a guy to do?)

I do mind the after-gank attitude sometimes. Really unnecessarily nasty (I'm looking at you Herr Wilkus).

50 million skillpoints eh?
Isn't that the minimum needed to start having fun in this game?

I view the game as a parallel to Real Life but exagerated. Is life 'fun' ?

Bare minimum tbh. I'd say 80 is really when you can kick loose.

Technically he only needs to spend a few minutes every few days to achieve this

Hell, I took about a year off....

I just turned into an egg, did I level up? I spent an hour trying to salvage a wreck, when in local a guy said "Stop it, this is my Tempest, I was AFK"

Welp, with all the changes, the past 18 months or so, since the Incarna Debacle tbh, of the game mechanics, CCP does indeed do a really really great job of removing ISK from players (I'm looking at you, DataCores, etc.).

Between my characters I have a grand total of 444,103,240 skill points. Some ship skills are shared but each alt is speced into something different just so that when I log in I can do anything I want.

I am not bitter, I even mine every now and again.

*sigh

Me too. I started playing in 2007. This character in 2009. I don't remember the account name I first used.

Did you mean 100 M or some other number?

10 M is only 4-5 months or so....hardly impressive.
