CCP; A bit about lighting:

Go out some night when the moon is up. See that nice bright moon? A full moon lights up the sky, drowning out the stars. Now go to a fresh lava flow and pick up a rock. Its nice and black right? Well it turns out that is the color of moon rock: As black as newly cooled lava.

So why is the moon so bright? Its because the sky is so much darker.

Now go into game and look at a spaceship or an asteroid. Both have a surface color that is much more reflective than black lava, yet both are not nearly as brilliant against Eve's sky as the moon.

Conclusion: items in space need to be brighter. They are far to dark.

Also, forgive me if it's common knowledge, but what is mode animation? I could not find it on google.

Yeah I wasn't sure what to call it, but what I mean by "mode animation" is the possibility of the ship to enter a different state or a mode, like putting up extra armor and/or retracting wings when your are engaged in combat.

The Amarr destroyer is very similar looking to the Coercer. The new Gallente destroyer also has clear and obvious drone bays when you examine it's detail. You can picture the drones coming out of it. Very cool. When you look for the same detail on the new Amarr destroyer all you can find is USB port looking things on its sides. Lastly, the ship seems bare as you are fitting nos and nuets rather then filling its turret slots.

Yeah, Megathron lost its sexyness and joins the new Minmatar and Amarr destroyers in flying brick land. Lately CCP seems to be really into big rectangles with stuff attached to the front.

Oh well. The Stabber, Tempest, and mining frig look pretty nice... and the Caldari destroyer seems to have all its missile launcher mounts on one side of the ship, thats a new and interesting design choice.

Very very nice. I especially like that the hull variations will have slight differences in the models itself, instead of different skin only. Keep up the good job and bring us more, I would really like to see what you guys can do with the Geddon / Bhaal models.

Everyone else is throwing their opinions around so I will toss in mine. Some of the new modes look very nice like the Gallente destroyer plus the stabber and mining frig. The other updated models seem to be improvements as well. But the minmatar destroyer just makes me shake my head. The very concept of using a tank as an inspiration for not only this race but this class with it's intend role of being a zippy missile boat, is flawed to me. It just doesn't fit, it's a brown brick that would look more at home in world of tanks than in Eveonline.

From what I have seen of the Tempest, you ruined it. First off, who in their right mind would change the *ICONIC* ship in Eve. Iconic means it has a memorial status. "Do I have to look it up for you?" "Trust in the rust." Get it?! You do not touch it. What a mistake.

You made it beefer, tougher, thicker. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

It looks like something a phoon just passed :P

T3's need to be versatile so no rigs are necessary ... they should not have OP dps and tank

ABC's should be T2, remove drone assist, separate HAM's and Torps range, -3 HS for droneboats

I absolutly love the new Tempest, but totally hate the new Vargur, especially the solar wings don't ... fit.

... my beloved Vargur, R.I.P. Oops

Excellent work on all the other ships though!

Are all ships going to be remodeled? :-D

Obviously not, because that would require V3ing everything again, but I think T2 ships could use some love, most of them are only differentiated by a change in texture.

Also, the Ishkur should be based off the new Tristan, and not the Incursus.

Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Not to always be the naysayer, I like all the other destroyers very much, with little pet peeves about a feature here and there. It looks like some of my sticking points on some of the destroyers have been toned down (for example the USS Monitor turret on the Minmatar destroyer, I think).

I must say the Salvage Drone looks like it carries a coffin on its back. Perhaps, that illusion isn't unjust?

And, I will put in my vote that the new ORE Frigate, which is frankly awesome, should definitely be named, or nick named at the very least, the Chribba.

I think most likely next year since they planned to lower the requirements for carriers
