Get rid of free hanger space. reduce cost in lower sec regions. limits to services in stations. Why move around when you can have it all in a few systems? Get rid of the looong jump gates. Add high taxes in higher sec regions, a progressive tax, to gradually move players down the sec ladder. etc. etc.Roll

People that dislike PVP will quit the game long before they "move down the sec ladder". Why do you want CCP to lose money?

Even if you did all these things, it would just move the carebears that didn't drop, out under the protection of the 0.0 mega alliances.

There is simply no way to get people to move out to dangerous space where they can easily be ganked by the "small roaming bands" all day and all night.

TLDR......You don't pvp because you are bad at it.

No the problem is that im extremely good at PvP (this is my pve alt)

but its mainly predatory PvP against people who dont want it. Look at the Human nature section of the post

If they don't WANT it tough luck, go play something else...

This.

I started to wonder if people who come up with the bright ideas ever stop to think "hey, maybe things exist in their current form for a good reason" before posting. Then i realized I already knew the answer before even asking the question lol.

L4's is also where most low/null sec pvp'ers farm their isk to fund their pvp which brings me to what I believe the number one reason why most people, in a game centered around making isk, don't bother to pvp. It's not profitable for most.

Yep. While game mechanics being fun is certainly important, at the end of the day many people follow the isk and there simply isn't any isk to be had in pvp for a large percentage of the eve population. Call them bad if you want it doesn't change the fact that if you modify game mechanics to force them to engage in something that isn't going to make them isk then many will simply leave eve for another game. And that doesn't solve anyone's pvp problem now does it.

Note to players: everything in Eve is pvp. If you play Eve then you are pvp'ing. This thread should be locked because of this. ;)

notice the ;)... this means sarcasm

I just don't understand null sec players.

**Please note: **Anytime I use the phrase PvP in a post, I'm talking about shooting/combat/killing things/blowing things up. Thank you.

Killing miners in high-sec is not PVP.

It may not be fighting, but it's still "Player vs Player"

I don't see why Pvp'ers (like myself) complain about high sec carebears. I personally don't understand why people would play a game to make fake money but hey, that's just me.

Pvp'ers need people to do the crap work. Mining, industry, etc. They are like waterboys, or fluffers, or stockboys at the supermarket.

Same could be said about fake spaceship kills, fake sov empires, etc. We are after all playing a game.

They are, so long as you keep buying their stuff and blowing it up.

No that's overmuch. Perhaps a 90% nerf to their income would be fair.

That's easy to achieve. Get your own water or stop drinking. They get paid what you enable them to be paid.

Gank people. A lot of people. Specifically people doing missions. And at the same time make the "waterboys" he referred to even richer (industrialists/miners) as they happily resupply both you and the mission runners.

So, it's impossible then? Thanks for clearing that up.

Very possible, you just aren't willing to put forth the effort, gather the numbers or bear the cost.
