Whilst daytripping in C2 wormholes I got inspired to start writing about the Sleepers. And from that I eventually decided to work generally on EVE short stories, now that I have more familiarity with the canon, and have started a blog to post them.

So without any further delays, enjoy my first EVE short story, which muses on the day the Sleepers went to Slumber

Pointers on canon-breaking bullshit greatly appreciated Big smile

Talocan United are one of the most open Wormhole Alliances that take "early days" sleeper harvesters, if you need the first hand experience they'll be able to get you in all classes of wormhole.

I liked the story, if the co-habitude angle was "forbidden" they would have split W-Space like the Empire space we see in hi-sec, each would have its place and spawns would be present in both. As for the semantics in the finale' I'd wonder who was emperor in that situation.

Thank you for your reply. I'm okay with the corp I am in though, but thanks. This story is very much a general musing on what I know of the ancient races and how they might have interacted/perceived one another.

Whoa....that's a really good interpretation. It's not exactly canonical but....dayum.

The reason it's not canonical is due to the explanation of the Sleepers in Templar One. Basically, they came through the Eve Gate already asleep. They were some subset of Jovian being tended to be some kind of modified race call the Enheduanni who acted as attendants while the Sleepers (at that time known as the Architects) slept. But the Enheduanni kind of had a monopoly on the Architects.

In their virtual world, they could progress at a pace more rapid than in the real world. Time was faster in there. Consequently, the Architects were able to develop stupidly advanced tech at a relatively faster rate than anyone else. The Enheduanni would take their advancements, and sell em off. But they got greedy and REALLY tightened their grip on the Architects. There's a whole bunch of other stuff that I don't FULLY get like how the Enheduanni got more advanced than the Jove, the true current state of the Architects outside of what was told in Templar One, and if they're still making advanced tech, and what the HELL those zombie things that attacked the initial Amarrian away team encountered that protected the Sleepers from being Harvested.

More importantly, where do the Enheduanni fit in with the Terrans and their knowledge of them?

So many questions left unanswered. So many interesting things.

But still, despite my seemingly scathing explanation, that was a REALLY REALLY STUPIDLY cool and quick interpretation of the Sleepers. I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to see more!!

Ah, thank you for your "scathing explanation" then. My knowledge previously was based upon lore which had been revealed from EVE itself, or in other words, pre-Dust and pre-Templar One lore. So I guess that definitely makes this non-canonical, but I am glad you enjoyed it.

At an early point in Templar One, an Amarr away team in a Sleeper construct attempting to harvest still living Architects met heavy resistance from an unknown group that assailed them in hand to hand combat. Not much more is given for the assailant groups' identity or appearance but...they weren't any known group of human.
