Note: Only legal residents of South Africa are eligible for the "voters competition" mentioned in this post, but you can still help even if you're not an SA resident

Hellohi EVEryone. I come to you with a request for help.
Canon SA are holding Expos and a photography competition every year in South Africa. Finalists get chosen by a closed panel of judges and the winners are determined by votes. Votes come from one of three avenues:

* Facebook 'votes' in the form of a comment with the word 'vote' on the entry
* Votes cast on http://www.csaexpo.co.za/comp-gallery.html
* Votes cast at the expo being held at the Sandton Convention Center in South Africa

As you can imagine, the Facebook votes portion of this has the potential to have people get a disgusting amount of votes by simply having the most Facebook friends or by posting requests for votes on their entry/entries all over the net - often with highly misleading information as seen in this picture.

This finalist in particular is posting this same message on international Facebook pages despite the prize he mentions only being available to South African voters. They are consequently getting quite a large amount of votes seemingly purely from this false incentive.

So my request to you is to go view the finalist galleries and vote for whichever photo you like the most. I can't offer you anything in return aside from not standing over your bed and staring at you while you sleep.

To vote on Facebook, as mentioned, simply comment 'vote' on the photo you like the most. You can vote once per category.

If you know any South Africans, please let them know about this, as them voting puts them in line to win a Canon 650D + 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens. If you can, let everyone else you know also know about this as well, as I'd really like for this to turn out to be one of few 'fair' photography competitions out there.
