i am in the process of doing a bit of research on fitting ships for different plexes and sites, but i need more information first.

as you do plexes, can you take a screen of your overview in each room before killing everything? here's an example of what i want: http://imgur.com/a/Py8V5

i am combining everything, cross-referencing with the chruker.de database of ship DPS and HP, and combining it into a giant spreadsheet that is actually pretty easy to manage. i need specific ship names - that is, Corelatis Wing Leader - in order to make this work. the idea is that this will let people fit properly, as some plexes do not require full tank to finish. with this sheet, you can fit for how much you need and a little more, and then fit DPS the rest of the way.

as an example, here is a demo of a Prison Camp (DED 8/10 nullsec Serpentis plex) -> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aqz4kkyeZExmdFluQmRnZVRuV3IzbmN1U2ZFNkdZSEE

put the images on imgur, link me them via evemail, and i will pay you 10m per instalock (haven/sanctum/etc) and 30m per major site (fleet shipyard/military complex/etc) that i do not already have. first come, first serve. belt spawns and missions don't count. escalations do count if you tell me what site started the excursion. if you have sites that are other races (like angels or guristas), even better!

when i am done compiling everything, i'll put it together and link it so it's available to all.

i'd like to include everything, so i'll take any scannable complex, instalock or escalation, regardless of where it's found - as long as it's in k-space and not w-space. i've already got a w-space dps sheet like this.

Yeah, why take away the fun :)

I can already see someone reading: 'Oh this dishes out over 9000 dps! How ever will i tank this?'

Also from my experience there are variations in spawns. For instance in 5/10 and so on you will see different assortments of battleships (which i notice because i need to switch sentries for the ones that orbit at 50 km - and sometimes there are more of those than other times). So you would need to confirm all variations, too.

Hate to break it to you but this information is already out there on several sites.

Search the web. There are plenty of websites already offering the information you are looking for.

Edit: Person above me already pointed this out :s

hate to break it to you, but information available right now both isn't consistent - and (DED plexes at least) are - or it's flat-out wrong. for example, eve-survival is almost always just displaying just the type of hull with a probable name. same with EVE wiki. you can occasionally find information about a specific site that's correct enough to generate something like what i have above, but it's few and far between, and usually in a different language =(

besides, if it's already out there, you could find it, give it to me, and get free money. so who cares?

If wikipedia DED entries are out of date, or incorrect, edit them! Anyone with an eve-gate login (i.e. your forum one) can do so.

Why reinvent the wheel?

because i don't have the information to do so yet. i'm basically paying people to do the research for me. my work calculating DPS numbers is ancillary to getting the proper information available.

i've already had a number of people contact me with information. i guess i don't see why all these forum warriors think that me giving people money for stuff they're already doing is a bad thing. it's not like i am offering nothing (ONE MEEEEELLLLION ISK), and people who do instalocks are doing them for 30m for an hour's work anyways so it's a nice perk for them.

Then sounds like a good idea in practice, but I'd recommend updating the wikipedia articles with your new info rather than creating your own webpage - all the information in one place is a good way to go.

bump. i particularly need angels plexes, so more info would be great!

hazen, i'm planning on updating other sites once i have everything collated on my side...which at the current rate might be a while.

Almost all the Angel sites are documented accurately on the wiki.

http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Cosmic_Anomaly
http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/DED_Complex_List
http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Unrated_Complex_List
http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Complete_Signature_Strength_List

Taluno on this wiki does a fine job of documenting also.
http://de.sistersprobe.wikia.com/
Go-go-google translate (be sure to use the original, untranslated, page for ship names/quotes or you might find some translated ships)

E-Uni also has a large number of angel sites with screen shots
http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Scanning:Scan_Results

Like Mnemosyne Gloob said, there's variation in spawns...
The following format is probably the best you'll get for accuracy, because the variation in each group is restricted to the given ship types (although in many cases, not all types are yet recorded). A single screen shot wont show this well.
2-3 x (Destroyer) Gistior Defacer/Defiler/Shatterer (<-- here for example the "Gistior Haunter" is also likely)
2-3 x (Cruiser) Gistum Liquidator/Marauder

I would suggest simply tacking a link called "DPS Breakdown" into each site's wiki article which leads to your google doc for the site. I suspect it would be well received.

i selected a random angel link - the 10/10 - and was presented with a pile of 'destroyer', 'cruiser', 'battleship' lists - no actual ship names. so i can't use that. taluno's information is a little better, but he still presents probable ships, not specific spawns.

unlike what gloob says, i've seen consistent spawns now for two races so far - serpentis and sansha sites. i ran the same serpentis plex nine times and got exactly the same ships each time. i'm willing to bet more are consistent.

i'm hoping to paste the breakdown list onto each site once i'm done, and i'd anticipate it being as well received as the eve-survival dps links that are so awesome. so when i'm done, i'll go through and do that.

i've had some good responses so far for several races. keep it up! i have tons more isk to burn =D

hey, those are a lot better than what i saw before. i'll check the dps numbers and just use whatever's the most dastardly =)

that helps a lot! too bad the other races are mostly crap. loudys is getting me good sansha info, and i have some serp stuff from when i lived there, so now i just need to get some other races.

Careful, I tried my hand at predicting angel dps a while back, and a major problem is that many of the variable spawns like "Cerubim/Seraphim", "Saint/Nephilim", and "Seizer/Trasher" willl be strongly EM on one side and strongly Thermal on the other. Meanwhile a majority of rest of the damage dealt is Exp/Kin, so if you are predicting 7 x Seraphim (EM) and it turns out to go 7 x Cerubim (Therm), odds are you've got a hole in your resists that will get you melted in a hurry.

In a lot of cases, you've either got to fit for everything or keep a lookout for ships that deal damage on the wrong end of the spectrum.

faulx, did you notice if spawns tended to be one set of spawns - that is, all EM - vs. another set of spawns - that is, all thermal - or if they just varied in each plex from spawn to spawn? like, three waves in a plex, and one set of three waves was all em, and the other set of three waves was all thermal?

Generally, it seems like it tries to be a 50/50 split in these waves; but there are times (which seem slightly too often to be random) when entire waves will go one way or the other.

Just as a for example, here's some quickly scribbled notes on waves from an easy to reference anom. Note the seizer/trasher ratios tend to favor the trasher (probably due to small sample size), but, even in such a small sample, things once showed up almost all seizer and once almost all trasher:

I admit I've been gone for a little while but what I see now is totally alien. I've only been offline since early July of this year (4 1/2 months ago), which seems to be when the major changes started happening.

Faulx, I like and applaud your attention to detail but seems both you and ISO Detroit are getting way too technical. Remember this is supposed to be user friendly for the vast majority. Looks like the main problem here is trying to cram way too much info into those pages than what's actually needed.

Not to mention the pages now look overly crowded by the reformatting which makes it much tougher to read.

Removing the colored boxes for quotes, warnings and hints and then placing that text behind the NPC name is one issue... another one is removing the spacing... adding a lot more text to the initial site description, etc. There's more issues as well but I'm not going to go into a detailed list right now.

Bottom line, those pages should be kept somewhat simple without getting too technical, provide general basic info without being overly detailed. They should be easy to read and follow along for reference while players are running the site at the same time.

Remember, these are exploration sites that incorporate a random aspect of spawn tendencies to give the player a little surprise action. Having everything completely documented, listed and detailed takes the surprise / fun out of it.

Anyway, sorry for voicing my opinion here in this thread. This can all be discussed later via in-game convo or through mail messages. Like I said earlier, I've been offline for a while and I'm now slowly getting back again.

Hell, I still haven't even logged into the game yet due to technical issues.
