All teams had equal chance of getting a bye. That's fair.

I did not pair up the empty slots as that would allow the winner of the neighboring round 1 match to advance uncontested to round 3. I would much rather have 5 teams skip round 1 than 2 teams skip round 2 and 1 team skip round 1. There's similar effects on the loser's bracket as well, with teams skipping the 2nd round if you pair up the blanks.

To think of it another way, the method we chose returns to normal form after the first round of the winner's and loser's bracket. Pairing blank spots does not return to normal form until round 3.

That's the idea, provided we don't encounter any evil code gremlins on the way.

But, aren't sisi tied with the DUST beta players?, it surely says so when i use that shortcut instead of the ones for Duality or
Buckingham i normally use when i'm not missclicking.

All Eve players looking to try out our Retribution content or just have some fun in the FFA should use Buckingham as it will have the latest content and we will be providing the most support for those activities there.

Sisi will continue to be hosting Dust 514 on the planets, but the space side of that server is perfectly suited for tournament testing as it will generally be running the same code that the tournament will be held under.

why giving a free victory to 5 teams ? you could do 2 matches, and 1 free victory only...

Unfortunate that you couldn't fill the full roster.

Maybe you could listen to some people when they tell you that there might be a flaw in your master plan...


By the time you dropped the cost to 10 PLEX, I guarantee you that you generated enough bad buzz from the 20 PLEX that most other teams that WOULD have bought 10 PLEX were already distracted. You lost a team I would have put together just because of the 20 PLEX entry.


You set the bar too high for the first time. I just hope this doesn't affect your ability to keep the project going forward.

Sorry to hear the Tournament didn't get great numbers, but still, 27 out of 32 isn't awful, it's just not competitive for the Auction. I'm surprised the bids were dropped to 10 PLEX, but I guess that was needed?

Maybe something to do with the high price of PLEX, or the amount that has apparently been lost lately, or maybe because everything costs so much in game at the moment, or all of it. I get enough inflation in real life. Earning more; taking home less.

Should be a good tournament anyway; looks like some good teams. Smile
