Seems like the cool down and the loss of a med slot in an of itself is enough of a penalty. The cooldown will prevent it from being uber, uber abused and the med slot (or maybe high slot) need will be enough of a 'fitting penalty'. If it becomes over-abused then the penalties can be increased later on. First lets see it in action on TQ before we pre-nerf the thing.

Also worth noting that most battleships will have to entirely drop their MWD, downsize their guns, or downsize their tank to fit this.

which does not work in lowsec...

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

I haven't seen this mentioned, so I thought I'd throw it out: As it is now, this module will also be great for artillery or other long-range players running missions. Many Level 4's especially will drop the ship within spitting distance of the nearest enemy. Great for AC's, lousy for arty's. This unit would allow the ship to arrive in mission, see that the targets are close, tank any incoming (not much, as the rats wake up), and hop away to a better firing position.

Plus, as long as the requirement continues to be a scrambler (or multiple disruptors? I'm fuzzy on that), the new NPC AI can be nastier EWar wise, but the module gives you a chance to get out of Dodge. Where before, a mission ship up against the new AI could get caught with its pants down on a heavy DPS mission with disruptors it wasn't expecting.

It's an interesting device.

Don't know if this has been mentioned but micro jump drive can be used while cloaked, it needs to be made so cloaking deactivates it otherwise dodging gate camps becomes too easy.

Edit : nvm any gate camp that can't decloak a BS going 80ms in 30s should just dock up.

This, mainly. To all the complaints about impossible to catch Battleships, really, you can't get a scram on a battleship that is pointed in one direction for 30 seconds? It isn't like they are atrociously slow, super fast to lock, and the size of a friggen moon.

Leave the -1 warp penalty, and lets see how it goes. If you're that worried about it fit a scram on your ship. Problem solved.

It would be nearly useless if anyone point on it wold keep it from jumping. You don't shut down a MWD with a long point either, yet somehow THIS is overpowered? Give me a break.

In regards to every ship fitting this. Well, fine, it isn't interdiction nullification, and it isn't a cloak. It is nowhere near the slipperyness of a T3 cruiser, so before you go complaining about mandatory fits, lets talk about THAT elephant in the room.

Not sure if intended or an actual bug that needs fixing:

It uses cap even if you're scrammed, so if you're spamming MJD while scrammed you're going to be left with 0 cap in a hurry. This isn't the case with the MWD.
