There is another program running that is interrupting the esc key. For me, photoshop will disable the esc key in eve.

Can I have your stuff if you can't get the escape key working?

I should have never paid 3 months subscription in advace. all of the fee back of the game on you tube is all good. one never knows about a game until they read the forums....If I knew of this on going problem with so many players, I would have not subscribed to this game. In fact, if you look at that google search that I did in referance to this problem, CCP tech ppl never solved it, so I guess the players just gave up. Unfortunatly, you can't get into the forum unless you pay for the game...


As far as having my stuff? I just started this game 2 days ago, and already I can't play the game, hence, no stuff to give away..Imagin that, I paid for the game, and can't play it. for two days, I'm trying to solve this problem, and as you can see, thru that google search many ppl have this problem.

really an escape function bug is causing you to rage this much? You have to be like 13, maybe that.

No, when I'm calling out to you senior players for help, you guys make stupid statements instead of trying to help. just read some of your replies, but yet I'm 13? I wouldn't have to reach out to other players for help if ccp would maybe read some of these posts and tell us what to do to correct these problems that players are having. I paid 3 months subscripton in advance for NOTHING but head aches....

This may not work (I'm not at home to test), but it used to back at the dawn of the computer age when we used terminals:

EDIT: For what it is worth, Default Keyboard Controls

EDIT: Photoshop is known to cause this problem, as are other applications that intercept the ESC key (QZoom).

EDIT: My keyboard has an "alternate layout" button that I accidentally hit once in a while, and lose my function keys until I remember why. Perhaps your keyboard has something similar?

EDIT: Also, try to run in windowed mode. You can change the settings from the login screen. If windowed mode works, then it is a DirectX issue.

EDIT: By any chance are you using non-U.S. system?

I know that I'm just a nothing to ccp. because they already got my 90 subscription money, and don't adress known issues as I copied and pasted from other people who have the very same problems, like myself and others have brought to their attention, which went ignored. That's ok, though, because they wont get any more of my money. Is that the way to run a business? Is this a way to treat customers? Imagine that, I gave them 90 subscription of my hard earned money believing that I was going to have a good time playing this game, Only to have been ignored...That's ok, there's other games out there.

Notice that they concealed the report because it wasn't updated for a length of time...I just submitted the report last night, but yet it was closed because it wasn't updated for a length of time...It was only 8-10 hours that I submitted the report.....That's what I call passing the buck!

Boy that was so helpful..F-k this game. I won't be paying for it anymore...Their loss, my money in my pocket is my gain...

Ok people.......I followed the advice from other players....If you're having this issue, you may want to get yourself, and wireless mouse. I went to the extreme and purchased the new Razer Black Widow Key Board, and the Razer Mamba Cordless Mouse but the key here is that I used a cordless mouse and all my prpoblems have been sloved...It also should be noted that I'm running widows 7 Professionsl version.....Thank you to the players who help by making the aforementioned problem solving suggestions.

Hi there, Since you are running a Windows machine, can you please try running the on-screen keyboard and pressing Esc on there? You can find this in the Start menu, under All Programs, Acessories > Ease of Access > On-screen Keyboard and let us know what happens? Kind Regards, ISD BH LightsLimit


The response from CCP instructutions/solution were never attempted by this OP becuase I resolved the issue by purchasing a new mouse, however I'm posting CCP's solution in case any other players encounter the same problem...Thank you CCP for you response....
