You could scan NPCs in belts, could roam low sec scanning those shadow serpentis rats in belts after downtime.

Tier 2 BCs didn't exist, was just ferox, cyclone, brutix and proph. No t3, no black ops/marauders, no mael / abadd / rokh / hyper. Stealth bombers fired cruise missiles. No hictors, titans introduced but none built until about mid 2007.

No rigs.

There's been about 4 hp buffs since when I started, back then an XL booster cyclone could boost all its shields in one cycle.

90% webs and no rock paper scissors with mwd/ab and scamblers/disruptors

Warp core stabs had no drawbacks, stabbabonds were everywhere.

Damps were great, and no fiddling with scripts in everything.

nanophoons were unstoppable, nos and torps - nos wasn't toothless like now, it sucked you dry.

Zealot had 4 turrets, sacrilege was a laser ship, nightmare was 4/4 lasers/torps like phoon.

Ginger magician camping hagilur / resbroko / otou 18 hours a day while bawling in local and sharing his frustration with all. for about 5 years.

Xelas, best alliance ever, ruled fountain.

Agreed with all but the last point. Lol I prefer thinking back to the day when Fountain was owned by Fountain Alliance... at that time arguably the wealthiest alliance in the game.

Which also reminds me of when you placed orders with corps specialized in making T2 ships, and you usually waited on a waiting list for weeks or more often months to get your 500million ISK Hack.

Does no one else remember when Gallente was actually the race of choice for PVP, before the nano nerf and the projectile boost?

I remember back in the beginning when a system would go down and you couldn’t use jump gates to get out; you were stuck there until the next scheduled downtime…

And mining in an apoc was the norm for miners…
