Whats the logic behind the location?

I used to do security missions in system A, because the agents tended to hand out missions within the same system. Very convenient, since the jumping is just boring transportation. Of course there was a little random, a few missions were located in system B and C too... but just very few.

A few weeks ago, the agentes started to hand out missions which were located in system B instead. OK, I thought something was adjusted. But last few days, they tend to switch again, and is now mostly handing out missions in system C. Almost no missions at all in system A :(

So my question is, what's the logic behind it? What makes the agents hand out missions located in a certain system? It seems to me that it's not completely random.

I have feelings, I can smile - and murder while!

A little while back (don't remember exactly how long, several months to a year ago) they adjusted the mission locations in an effort to spread the load out a little bit. The server looks at the number of pilots in each system and tries to send the missions to systems with lower numbers. That's probably what you're seeing. Too many missions got handed out in system A, so it moved to B for a bit, then as the load on B picked up they started assigning C.

PVP is a question with no single right answer, but a lot of wrong ones.

^That's how it works in theory.

In practice, it's easy to get missions to always be in one system. Just go to a highsec agent bordering lowsec, you'll get mission there one jump away, guaranteed.Cool
