Kids grow up so fast nowadays /single tear.

But not all High sec pilots think ganking is bad... But If you are stupid enough to fly something worth billions of isk without a care in the world you kind of deserve to lose it...

I do enjoy a good tear post every now and then.

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

Another noob who completely agrees with the OP (11 day). If you want risk free grind buy a tamagotchi. I haven't been ganked yet 'cos I'm not worth ganking. When I am bring it, I may go down in flames but I'll go down fighting.

I like to read the forum and blog posts about the game in general, I think EVE has an awesome community as a whole...

A subject I seem to be crossing time and time again - is the one of carebears vs their opposites....

The argument that the risk of being ganked and losing your assets is "unfair", or discourages new players to join the game, should not be as "brutal" as it is, etc etc...

When I read on this subject, I refer to EVE, the description of the game, and how it was designed.

It seems to me like the game has been designed to be this way, people can gank you, people can steal from you, people can scam you, people can do what ever they want to you... to me that is the game, that is how the game is designed and intended... that is EVE.

And that is why I downloaded the free trial a few days ago, and that is why on my second day in the game... I logged into my account management to enter my credit card details and pay for this amazing game.

My opinion on the subject of "carebears" is one of little attention, sympathy or consideration... I think that "carebears" should be seen and not heard, they should receive no attention or consideration from the developers of this great game, and the reason for that is simple...

The things that carebears disagree with/want to be changed in order to benefit their own doings within the game... these things are EVE... that is the game, the way it was intended to be... if somebody is able to target and engage you as a target in hisec, and the game mechanics allow for that to be done... that is the design of the game, if you don't like that then you may choose to stop playing...?

People are subscribing to the game because it is a great game, "a sandbox risk/reward hardcore game in which you are never safe"... THAT is appealing, that is thrilling and that is fun... if you change that, and alter the description to "safe mining where you can mine asteroid belts and never be killed"... that is not appealing, that to me sounds boring and I would have never entered my credit card details and given my money to CCP if that was the case.

Just my opinion on the trending topic, thanks.

Your post just reads as though you're a natural griefer who has found a game where you can grief your little heart out. I hold the opposite view to you.

The OP has things very turned around. It is not the high sec 'carebears' that want the mechanics of the game changed, its the big bad brave pvp'ers who are spamming the forums calling for a new order and the burning of high sec. You say play the game the way its made, well I agree, but you are talking to the wrong crowd.

When i was five days old i already knew more of the mechanics than
people who played this games for years.

There are, unlike most of you, actually intelligent people out there who know how to find information,
read that information and even understand it. They are actually interested in finding this information,
because they like to learn and understand the things they use ... unlike most of you.

Just because the average is idiocy, doesn't mean that everybody is an idiot.

I'm just over 2 months old, I was on the forums while the client was downloading. Any intelligent person who wants to play EVE is going to their homework. I'm pretty sure I understood what a 'gank' was my first week.

EvE, it's all about tear managment.

A 5 day old player would not care about the forums, nor have this much info on this game, you wouldn't even know that PvP pilots call you a carebear nor would you understand what *ganked* meant, you are an alt

I have played for about four days myself and I know of everything said. So with that your argument is invalid.

I'm not sure what you mean by this... maybe you didn't read my post properly? I haven't yet been ganked in the game, though I'm quite excited to experience it.

You talk about things being brutal, but all you risked was a free account. That is pretty sad. You should at least watch metalocalypse before talking about brutal, or perhaps buying a real account and take some real loses.

Also don't get dad to buy an account for you to lose ships on. Not the same either.

To show the true intent of your post one needs only to substitue carebears with gankers/pvpers/nullbears/spys/ceos/directors/or any other label you can place on a player in eve.

Nice try but it's a troll. Post with your main since you aren't new. Thanks for playing though. :)

I just don't understand null sec players.

**Please note: **Anytime I use the phrase PvP in a post, I'm talking about shooting/combat/killing things/blowing things up. Thank you.

you are a alt, trying to sway the pve players to the pvp *risk vs reward* nonsense

hush

You believe that makes you special? I've been gaming since before you were a twinkle in your mothers eye as have many many others here. I think at 28 you may well find yourself at the lower end of the age range of Eve Players.

Eve is advertised as a dark cold place where others are free to kick you in the teeth when you are down, it's good to see noobies who understand this and get on with it regardless, and judging by the OPs post in the NCQA subforum they are indeed a noob who likes to PvP.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Are you ******* kidding me? Go back in your cave, troll. This game, and particularly this forum (General Discussion), may have the shittiest community I've ever known of.

Of course, there are exceptions, but those are so disgusted by what they read here that they often don't stay long.

I didn't think this thread would provoke so many tears, I was just giving my opinion on something.

Didn't intend to start a flamewar, but yes I am new to the game, though I am not new to gaming, and very experienced with MMORPGs, things like carebears, ganking, and things alike are not exclusive to EVE.

I don't see how me researching the concept of the game somehow suggests that I'm not a new player, or maybe I'm just being trolled for carebears for my opinion?

Either way, glad to be here, great game, this thread was just my opinion.

I can fix that if you'd like. Roll

Nah, I'm too stricken with cute overload whenever I run into newbies. I'd probably just stalk you in a covert ops ship and occasionally throw ISK into your wallet.
