I would be aligned out knowing full well that direction scan had picked up a possible bogey. I would look at their security status, get my alt ready to jam them or do some kill board research on them. If I was lazy, as soon as he warps in I would have him on short range scan (assuming acceleration gate) and I would be aligned out to leave. Otherwise I would know that the Pilgrim has a small delay before it can target me and I would just warp away instantly being aligned.

You're a disgrace to the Gallente Federation. Real men never use ECM Drones.
I use 2x Ogre II / 2x Hammerhead II / 1x Hobgoblin II, and 5 Warriors, because I'm a WARRIOR baby.
Why give in to horrible overpowered game mechanics.

As stated before dscan.

When you warp from gate to the site you will warp a certain distance, this yu can see above your shields, it will e.g. state 1000km disatnce left, so set your dscan range to a bit above that distance, if its a cloaky you will see when it starting warping from the gate.

second thing you can do is to drop some cans just at the warp in point and hope they decloak from the can. then move away from from the warp in point so you get some distance from the warp in point, they might nt be able to catch you.
