We all know what a thriving trade hub Jita is, but I'm curious about how that system came to be what it is. Did it happen from scratch entirely through player trading, with nothing to distinguish the system from any other at first, or did CCP give it some sort of boost, like by seeding certain things there? Does anyone know?

a while ago there were other systems which were equally as big on trade, but after the movement of a load of star gates changed the dynamics, and thus accidentally created Jita.

Don't hold me to that that is just how I remember it.

In the early days, Yulai, was one of the biggest trade hubs, as the region highways were removed Yulai was cut off and trade went down, Jita started to grow as a central hub being in the "middle" of many regions.

Well good sir if you hit Jita up in the eve wikipedia page all you want to know about Jita is there. It was a failpost from my side. Plus Chribba pretty much explained it. Jita History take two.

ccp should mix it up again and change the routs so jita dies and a new hub/hubs start up
