CCP facing reality, can we also agree EVE is not a fashion simulator.

With the developments of late and many good people losing their jobs and at that not the ones responsible for taking EVE to the impasse it faces today is CCP ready to also face the fact that hiring fashionistas and shills to try to turn this game into a fashion simulator is shooting itself in the foot and the ass at the same time.

This is not and will never be Zoolander online no matter how much hellmar likes the feel of lace and garters against his heaving frame.

The advantage of a bad memory is that one can enjoy the same good things for the first time several times.

One will rarely err if extreme actions be ascribed to vanity, ordinary actions to habit, and mean actions to fear.

was NEX rolled out badly? yes.

was CQ rolled out badly? yes.

were the items in the NEX horribly priced and somewhat ill conceived? yes.

was Incarna something of an incomplete mess with too many competing priorities despite a significant time frame? yes.

is the idea behind Incarna a bad one? no.

Incarna does have a place in eve, but given the significant timeframe allocated to it, it feels like they had one person working on it for the past 5 years. just the one, and they took frequent smoke breaks.

a little more realistically, someone high up who watches a lot of 'vampire hunter D' saw the initial incarna engine trailer with the swishing skirts and said, hey that looks like a good place to start for a vampire game.

if the incarna release had not just been an empty, overpriced closet both within the nex store and the cq released there might have been something there.even so much as a corridor and a big empty room with a window overlooking the undock instanced to a max of 20-50 people at a time. something that doesn't really seem all that unpossible given everything that has been said about the wonderful world of WiS. then it might have been palatable, if not needing a bit of tlc.

instead, we had 1000$ japanese jeans forced down our throats and told they were candy, because who can't afford a little chocolate every once in a while in the middle of ww2 stalingrad?

Walking in Cupboard =/= space barbie in itself.

Flashing my deliberate lack of space-gold in my face in bright blue every time I check my wallet is as tacky as flashing celebrity crotches at me every time I check the news. Oh god, it's tacky. Scamming your paid customers into doing your marketing work for you, and "rewarding" them by scamming them with free space-gold is tacky.

It's not just the way the wh0re st0re was rolled out with it's $2000 japanese jeans, it's that they are jeans with replicas of hilmar's wang sown into the front. And into the inside of the seat, and then advertised as a cure for cancer. And people still pay for it, and smile.

Maxim 6. If violence wasn’t your last resort, you failed to resort to enough of it.

This is not and will never be Zoolander online no matter how much hellmar likes the feel of lace and garters against his heaving frame.

Wow, i had to hold my internal breath just to read out that stunningly epic first sentence.

On your keyboard, have a look down at the 'n' and 'm' keys. To the right of them you will find a key labeled ',' and one labeled '.'.

Now that you have learned the location of these keys, it is only a simple matter to begin to use them to turn your epic paragraphs into manageable sentences.

Have fun with your new grammar-enhancing friends, and remember....you can learn something new every day.

Careful, making references to the posterior regions and how that relates to Goons can get you banned from the forums.

I agree. And if the players could craft those items based upon resources that are dependent upon the existing game then I see nothing wrong with it. I don't like the prices in the vanity store either. Why can't we craft those items?

Or this is just the SWG crafter in me wanting to craft clothes which I see nothing wrong with this ability in Eve Online. I just don't. I just want to see these items crafted by the players for the players.

Agreed. No more worthless gameplay lacking fluff. The art department needs to get their act together, and get Eve stuff done. Content developers need to put together a plan, and implement it, thoroughly. No more half assed garbage that takes forever to get in the game.

I have seen to many MMORPG's rush their art and it turns out to be a mistake. This art department is extremely talented. For me, I support quality content over rushed content which in turns equals a solid product. They know what needs to be done. Let the kids be. I just want to craft hawwwwt skirts!!!! Blink
