Problem with Caldari COSMOS/Data Center Graduation Certificates

I decided to boost my standing to the Caldari State faction, by doing the Guristas tag Data Center missions. While at those places, I also did about 6 other missions, involving courier work, which gave me standing.

3 of these involved picking up a Caldari Graduation Cartificate. Upon completing those missions, the Certificates turned into Signed Certicates. I was also directed to travel to Autama to talk to an agent named Aviekko Ta, an Event Agent. But when I travel there, and try to talk to her, nothing happens. She has no mission for me, and seems to not be interested in me.

What's up with that? I've tried googling for her name, but nothing helpful came up.

You need higher standing to get the mission from her. Iirc, you've gone as far as you can for the time being. There are 3 systems for Caldari cosmos agents I believe. When you're at each of the beacons, there ar enumerous agents of course, make sure to click on them all. You should also be able to look into their info to see at what standing they give out their respective standings mission.

It's been so long since I did those.....
Here you go. http://www.eve-wiki.net/index.php?title=Event_Agent

Edit: So if I were you and you haven't already, head to Komokor.

Dear lord, please help me deal with the insufferable....

I have done all the agents in Kamokor, Ahtulaima and Saikanen. Aviekko Ta still hasn't got a mission for me.

I did that mission a couple of weeks ago and it worked fine, so it's not a problem with the agent.

I'd suggest splitting your stack of signed certificates so you have a stack of 1 and a stack of 2. That shouldn't be the issue but hey - it's EvE. FWIW I not only split the stack but also parked the second stack in the other station in that system (SWA I think).

Also to note, you can only run this mission/agent once. So if you've ever run it in the past (maybe with certs bought on contracts or w/e) then that's it.

I've never done Data Centers or any other COSMOS before, so that's not it. Also, the first time around, a few days ago, I had only a single signed certificate when I flew to Autama to try to talk with Aviekko Ta, but no result. Later I did the other missions so I got all 3 certs, but she still has nothing for me.

Should I file a Petition?

At this point my best guess would be that it's a standings problem. However without knowing your standings towards the State and/or Aviekko's npc corp it just remains a guess.

A petition would be your best bet right now I think because the GMs can either tell you what's wrong or reset the mission or whatever.

I have good standing towards Caldari State and Aviekko Ta.

A few minutes ago, I did one of the small Data Center sites with my alt, and flew to Autama with 1 Signed Certificate. Ta was willing to talk to me, and gave me a mission chain in exchange for the cert.

So now I've filed a petition.

A GM replied to my petition, and told me that I had already done Aviekko Ta's mission back in 2007. I can't recall that I did, but it sounds plausible. Problem solved.

There is a huge chain of COSMOS missions at various levels. many of them requiring completion of a mission for another agent or an item from another mission to continue the chain.

I found this site COSMOS missions 101 to be a great walk through to get the most out of them. The rewards are not great for lower level missions, and many of the static plexes where you need to get the items are over farmed. Considering that if you fail to collect the needed items before the mission expires you will fail it and never be able to get it again, I recommend reading the guide and collecting the items before getting the mission. Any items you have trouble with are usually available on contracts.

Also you do not need to start at the first mission. each chain for each level bracket is separate. You can raise your faction standings very quickly thru these missions as they all count as storyline missions. When you get to the level 4 cosmos missions the rewards get really good too.

I liked it when you could see other peoples standings towards NPC corps. Shame CCP removed that. Sad
