CCP Guard should take some geography lessons...

Iceland is built up from ocean floor, with fresh new lava/magma (and continues to grow every year because of it, just fyi)

An island like Japan is more likely to sink than Iceland, since its on a sublimation zone (where plates are forced under another one).

Iceland is a net growth zone, every year, as is the entire midatlantic ridge :)
(This is also the same force that separated North America from Africa / EU all those millions of years ago in case you're all curious ;)

+1 on this. I've seen many examples of people coming alone to Fanfest and leaving having made a bunch of new friends and even joining a new corp :). Everybody is friends at Fanfest.

As CCP Guard said, we have so many plans for this year and so many things that we want to do that it's kind of mind boggling Big smile

We're pretty confident it's going to be an epic show, though... and no matter how many hours we have to work to make sure you guys and EVE have an unforgettable 10th anniversary, we'll be there. Cool

I'm flying with Iceland air. booked everything through them.

It's not a fanfest package. Just gets me there at the right time.


If they're available to you, easyjet have recently announced they'll be flying to and from Iceland too.

I'm pretty excited to be making a second trip to Iceland for Fanfest. None of our family or friends have visited Iceland yet so that gives us an automatic SMUG factor of 1!

Here's hoping Blue Lagoon is on the agenda again for the Sunday, and that the SOE excursion will be as spectacular as the one in 2011!
